The vivo X300 FE launched in India at twice the price of the OPPO Reno14 in the matching 12GB/256GB configuration: ₹79,999 versus ₹39,999, a ₹40,000 gap. Reno14 gives you a larger screen and a manufacturer-promoted 3.5x optical telephoto camera; X300 FE is more compact and has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a larger stated battery, faster wired charging and an optional ZEISS telephoto extender. These are launch-price and specification comparisons, not a verdict based on head-to-head testing.

How much more does the vivo X300 FE cost?
At launch in India, the 12GB/256GB X300 FE cost ₹40,000 more than the same-storage Reno14. That is a comparison of manufacturer launch prices, not today’s guaranteed transaction prices: the phones launched about ten months apart, and discounts, stock and retailer listings can change.
Other launch tiers also differ. Reno14 was announced at ₹37,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹42,999 for 12GB/512GB; X300 FE was announced at ₹89,999 for 12GB/512GB. Because the entry Reno14 configuration has less RAM and storage than the X300 FE’s base tier, compare matching configurations when judging the price gap.

Which phone has the better size and display?
Reno14 is the larger-screen option: the third-party comparison lists it at 6.59 inches, while vivo specifies a 6.31-inch display for X300 FE. Both listings describe a 120Hz display, but the panel labels differ: Reno14 is listed as LTPS OLED and X300 FE as AMOLED. The smaller X300 FE is the more compact choice on screen size; actual hand comfort also depends on the phone’s overall dimensions and your preference.
How do the cameras compare?
Telephoto reach and accessory
OPPO promotes a 3.5x optical telephoto camera on Reno14. The X300 FE has a 50MP OIS telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and is compatible with the separately purchased ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2. vivo announced the extender at ₹15,999 in India. Factor that accessory into the cost only if you want it; it is not part of the phone’s stated configuration.

What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
The listed rear-camera setups are 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide and 50MP telephoto for Reno14, and 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide and 50MP OIS telephoto for X300 FE. Megapixel counts and optical-zoom figures describe hardware or advertised capability, not the quality of photos in every situation. The available evidence does not establish an independent head-to-head camera test, so it cannot show which phone takes better pictures overall.

vivo’s official India specification identifies the X300 FE’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, built on a 3nm process. Reno14’s MediaTek MT6897 identification comes from the third-party comparison; OPPO’s cited launch announcement does not specify its chipset in the price section. The processor names alone are not a measured performance comparison.

The same distinction applies to battery and charging. The third-party listing reports a 6000mAh battery and 80W wired charging for Reno14. vivo specifies 6500mAh typical capacity (6350mAh rated) and 90W FlashCharge for X300 FE, and its launch announcement also states wireless-charge support. Those figures do not establish real-world endurance or charging time; no independent comparative battery or charging test is established here.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose Reno14 if you prefer a larger display and want the lower of these two matching-tier launch prices, while still getting a promoted 3.5x optical telephoto camera.
- Consider X300 FE if you prefer a smaller display and value its listed Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, larger stated battery, 90W wired charging or compatibility with the optional telephoto extender enough to consider the higher launch price.
- Check live offers before buying either. A third-party comparison page accessed on 4 October 2026 listed Reno14 at ₹42,744 but marked it out of stock, and X300 FE at ₹94,999 on Amazon. Those are a dated, dynamic listing snapshot—not launch prices or guaranteed current offers. Verify the live listing, stock and exact storage configuration before purchase.
