For the like-for-like 12GB+256GB models, the Reno14 Pro’s launch premium was ₹10,000. At 12GB+512GB, the difference was ₹12,000: ₹54,999 for the Pro against ₹42,999 for the Reno14. What the Reno14 Pro’s extra cost gets you
A larger display
The Pro’s 6.83-inch display is 0.24 inches larger than the Reno14’s 6.59-inch display. That can suit readers who prefer more screen area for video, games or multitasking; the smaller Reno14 may be easier to manage if a more compact phone is a priority. The launch specifications establish the size difference, not a hands-on judgment about comfort or display quality.

A higher-tier processor
OPPO identifies the Reno14 Pro’s chip as the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 and the Reno14’s as the Dimensity 8350. The Pro therefore has the higher-tier processor on paper. OPPO also reported that the Reno14 reached a maximum temperature of 36.6°C after three hours of BGMI at 90fps in 35°C ambient conditions. That is a manufacturer-reported result under those stated conditions, not an independent test or a prediction of everyday gaming performance.
A slightly larger battery and wireless charging
The Pro’s rated battery capacity is 6200mAh, compared with 6000mAh for the Reno14—a 200mAh difference on paper. Capacity alone does not establish which phone lasts longer in real use. Both support 80W wired SUPERVOOC charging according to OPPO India, while OPPO lists 50W AirVOOC wireless charging for the Pro.

Camera comparison: the telephoto is not exclusive to the Pro
OPPO India lists a 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera on both models. Its announcement also describes “up to 120x digital zoom”; that is not the same as 120x optical magnification. The telephoto camera, rather than the digital zoom figure, is the relevant shared specification when comparing the two phones.
Which one is the better buy?
Choose the Reno14 if
- You want to spend less: at launch, it was ₹10,000 cheaper than the Pro at 12GB+256GB.
- You prefer its smaller 6.59-inch display.
- You do not need the Pro’s higher-tier processor or listed wireless charging.
Consider the Reno14 Pro if
- You want the larger 6.83-inch display and Dimensity 8450.
- 50W AirVOOC wireless charging is important to you.
- You are comfortable paying the launch premium for those differences; the shared 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera is not an additional Pro-only benefit.
This is a specification-based guide, not a hands-on performance verdict. The prices above are India launch prices; current offers and checkout totals depend on the configuration and seller.

Check the regional model before buying
Specifications and model numbers can vary across markets. OPPO’s Singapore Reno14 Pro specifications page identifies model CPH2739, while its UAE Reno14 page identifies model CPH2737. The UAE page, for example, lists a 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide and 50MP telephoto camera setup and notes that NFC depends on the region. These are regional examples, not substitutes for specifications of the Indian handset. Verify the exact local model and feature support before relying on compatibility advice or buying accessories.
