In India, OPPO’s store listed the Reno14 5G at ₹42,999 when checked on October 7, 2026. That is not a reliable measure of the price gap: comparison-site snapshots differed, and the available listings do not establish matched variants and seller terms for both phones.
Specs at a glance
The Reno14 figures below come from OPPO India’s official specification page. POCO X8 Pro details come from 91mobiles’ comparison listing, a secondary source; they are not confirmed here against a POCO India specification page.

Which phone is better for performance?
The listed Dimensity 8500 Ultra gives the POCO X8 Pro the more performance-oriented chipset on paper, compared with the Reno14’s Dimensity 8350. That makes POCO the more natural choice if chipset positioning is your priority. These specifications do not establish how large any real-world speed difference is, or how either phone performs in sustained gaming, heat management or benchmarks.

- 158.1 x 75 x 7.7 mm (6.22 x 2.95 x 0.30 in)
How do the displays compare?
Both listings give the phones a 6.59-inch display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. OPPO specifies an AMOLED flexible panel with 10-bit color and Gorilla Glass 7i for the India Reno14. The listed resolutions are 1256 × 2760 for Reno14 and 1268 × 2756 for POCO; those dimensions are close, and the small difference alone does not establish which screen looks better. Beebom describes the POCO panel as 1.5K and the Reno14 as FHD+, but neither label replaces a direct assessment of brightness, color, or viewing quality.
Which has the more useful camera setup?
Choose Reno14 for zoom and selfies
Reno14 has a distinct hardware advantage for framing distant subjects: its 50MP telephoto camera supports up to 3.5× optical zoom and has OIS. OPPO also lists a 50MP autofocus front camera. The rear setup includes a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultrawide. OPPO’s listed rear-video capability reaches 4K at up to 60fps. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent findings about photo or video quality.

POCO’s listed rear setup is simpler
The cited POCO comparison lists a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 20MP front camera, but no dedicated telephoto module. On the specifications available, Reno14 offers more camera-role flexibility; this does not prove it takes better photos in every situation.
Battery and charging: what the numbers do—and do not—say
The comparison listing gives POCO a 6500mAh battery and 100W wired charging, versus Reno14’s 6000mAh typical capacity and 80W charging. OPPO also specifies 5840mAh as the Reno14’s rated capacity. These figures favor POCO for stated capacity and charging wattage, but they are not battery-life tests or measurements of time to full charge. Actual endurance and charging time are not established by these specifications.

What is the price difference in India?
OPPO India’s store page listed the Reno14 5G at ₹42,999 when checked on October 7, 2026. Two comparison services showed different snapshots: 91mobiles listed Reno14 at ₹43,999 and POCO X8 Pro at ₹39,690, while Beebom listed ₹38,390 and ₹32,999, respectively. Because these prices are not confirmed for the same RAM/storage variants, seller, or offer conditions, they do not support one definitive current price gap.
Before buying, compare the live checkout price for the same storage tier and seller terms on the day you order. OPPO’s India page lists three Reno14 configurations: 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB; Mint Green is not listed for the 512GB option. The cited sources do not establish POCO’s India memory variants, so check the exact POCO listing rather than assuming configurations match.

Which one should you buy?
- Pick POCO X8 Pro if the listed newer chipset, larger stated battery capacity and higher wired-charging rating matter most, and you are comfortable verifying its exact India variant and seller.
- Pick OPPO Reno14 if a dedicated telephoto camera with optical zoom, a 50MP autofocus selfie camera, or OPPO’s clearly listed India storage options matters more to you.
- Decide on price only after matching RAM, storage, seller and offer terms. The available snapshots vary too much to use a single comparison-site figure as a dependable price difference.
These are specification-based trade-offs. The cited sources do not establish a comparative benchmark, battery endurance result, thermal test or independent camera-quality verdict.
