Those are changeable listing prices, not guaranteed prices or confirmed like-for-like configurations. The key choice is clearer than the price: Reno14 has a dedicated 3.5x telephoto camera, while Motorola offers a larger, faster-refresh display, a bigger stated battery and a higher listed charging rate.

How the prices and configurations compare
OPPO announced Reno14 launch prices of ₹37,999 for 8GB/128GB, ₹39,999 for 12GB/256GB and ₹42,999 for 12GB/512GB in India in 2025. These are launch prices, not the later ₹44,999 comparison-page listing. Motorola’s specification page lists 256GB storage with either 8GB or 12GB RAM; the cited listing snapshot does not establish which configuration the ₹39,999 price refers to.

Performance: Motorola has the higher-tier listed chip
The Reno14 uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350, while Motorola lists the Dimensity 8500 Extreme for the Edge 70 Pro. The chipset designation makes Motorola the stronger-on-paper choice, but it does not by itself establish how either phone performs in a particular game, workload or sustained session.
91mobiles reports AnTuTu scores of 1,405,935 for Reno14 and 2,194,258 for Edge 70 Pro. These are publisher-reported results; benchmark scores depend on test conditions and software, so treat them as an indication from that comparison rather than a guarantee of everyday speed.

Display: larger and faster on Motorola, more compact on OPPO
The Edge 70 Pro’s 6.8-inch screen is larger than Reno14’s 6.59-inch panel, and its listed refresh rate reaches 144Hz compared with Reno14’s 120Hz. Motorola specifies a 2772 × 1272 resolution, HDR10+ and a peak brightness of 5,200 nits. That peak-brightness figure is a manufacturer specification, not a matched independent measurement against OPPO.

Choose Motorola if you want more screen area or the higher maximum refresh rate. Reno14 is the smaller-display option, which may suit buyers who prefer a less expansive handset. The published figures alone do not establish which screen looks better in person.

Cameras: Reno14 has a dedicated telephoto lens
For zoomed-in subjects, Reno14
Reno14’s rear camera setup includes a 50MP 3.5x telephoto alongside a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide. OPPO promotes lossless 3.5x zoom. A dedicated telephoto gives Reno14 a distinct hardware option for framing distant subjects; it does not guarantee that every zoomed image will look better in every condition.
For ultra-wide and macro framing, Motorola’s listed setup
Motorola lists a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with optical image stabilization and a 50MP autofocus ultra-wide camera with macro capability. Its cited configuration does not list a dedicated telephoto camera. Both phones are specified with 50MP front cameras, and Motorola explicitly identifies autofocus on its front camera.

Battery and charging: higher stated figures on Motorola
Motorola lists a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery and 90W TurboPower wired charging. OPPO specifies 6,000mAh and 80W SUPERVOOC for Reno14. These are manufacturer capacity and charging-rate figures; they do not establish real-world battery life or charging time, which vary with usage and conditions.

91mobiles reports PCMark battery results of 14 hours 1 minute for the Edge 70 Pro and 12 hours 20 minutes for Reno14. Those are publisher-reported test results, not a promise of how long a phone will last in an individual’s routine.
Durability, software support and checks before buying
Both manufacturers list Gorilla Glass 7i. OPPO’s Reno14 model page lists IP68/IP69, while Motorola lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD 810H. Water and dust ratings do not mean a phone is damage-proof, and they do not establish that water damage is covered by warranty.
Software-support figures are not directly comparable as stated. 91mobiles says Reno14 receives five years of OS updates and six years of security updates; Motorola’s specification page says “Up to 3 years” for OS upgrade plus security patches. The sources do not establish matching definitions, so verify each manufacturer’s current India policy if update duration matters to your decision.
