The OPPO Reno14 5G is the clearer pick if you want an AMOLED screen and a dedicated telephoto camera; the Moto g max 5G, as described by 91mobiles, has a larger display and battery. But verify the Moto’s exact identity before buying: Motorola India’s Moto G family page reviewed does not confirm that model name. The prices also are not a like-for-like live comparison.

Which phone suits which buyer?
Choose Reno14 for its display and camera options
OPPO’s listed AMOLED panel has a higher resolution than the LCD reported for the Moto, while both are listed at up to 120Hz. Reno14 also has a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera with 2-axis OIS in addition to its wide and ultrawide cameras. That makes it the more versatile listed setup if you want a separate telephoto perspective; it does not, by itself, establish which phone takes better photos.
Consider the reported Moto for screen size and battery capacity
The Moto g max 5G is listed with a slightly larger 6.72-inch display and a 7,000mAh battery. Those are capacity and size advantages on paper, not proof of longer everyday use or a better screen. Its reported 30W charging is also slower than Reno14’s official 80W rating.

Performance figures are source-reported, not independent verdicts
91mobiles reports AnTuTu scores of 1,405,935 for Reno14 and 807,683 for the Moto, plus Geekbench multi-core scores of 4,105 and 2,600 respectively. These are outputs reported on that comparison page, not tests conducted for this article; benchmark results can depend on test conditions and software versions and do not guarantee how a phone will feel in every task.
The same page lists PCMark battery durations of 12 hours 20 minutes for Reno14 and 18 hours 15 minutes for the Moto. Treat those as 91mobiles’ test-context results, not a promise of real-world runtime. It also gives expert scores of 8.1/10 and 8.0/10, while the user-rating samples differ substantially—7,084 ratings for Reno14 and 22 for the Moto—so those scores are weak signals rather than a decisive comparison. 91mobiles comparison page

Separately, the 91mobiles comparison page displayed ₹42,744 for Reno14 and ₹27,599 for Moto g max 5G at Amazon, a displayed difference of ₹15,145 with Reno14 higher. The page marked Reno14 “Out of Stock”; this is therefore not a valid live checkout comparison between available phones. The cited snapshot does not establish a matching storage configuration for both displayed figures. Check current India listings for the exact variant, seller, stock, and price before comparing.
Verify the Moto model before relying on the comparison
The name “Moto g max 5G” and its specifications in this comparison come from 91mobiles. Motorola India’s Moto G family page reviewed does not corroborate that exact product name, so the manufacturer identity and model-specific details remain unconfirmed here. Do not assume it is another Moto G model or treat the reported specifications as official Motorola specifications.

Before placing an order, compare the full model name and model number on the retailer listing with Motorola’s own product information or support materials. If the listing cannot be matched to an official Motorola device, do not base a purchase decision on the 91mobiles comparison alone.

Software support and configurations to check
91mobiles lists Reno14 as running Android 15 with five years of OS updates and six years of security updates, and the Moto as running Android 16 with two and three years respectively. These support-duration claims were not verified against manufacturer policy pages here, so confirm the current policy with the maker before treating them as purchase guarantees.

There is also a configuration mismatch to keep in mind: OPPO’s specifications page lists 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB, while its launch notice priced 8GB+128GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. Check the precise variant in the listing rather than assuming every launch configuration appears on the specifications page.
