Those prices were announced at different times, so they are not a same-day retail comparison. On features, the Reno14 lists a dedicated telephoto camera, a 6,000mAh typical battery and 80W charging; the Galaxy A27 lists a larger 6.7-inch display and Samsung’s commitment of up to six generations of OS/One UI upgrades and six years of security updates from global launch.
India price difference: ₹500 on the cited 8GB/256GB prices
The comparable figures are manufacturer-published India prices, not live checkout quotes. OPPO published its Reno14 5G 8GB/256GB Mint Green price on July 25, 2025; Samsung published the Galaxy A27 5G 8GB/256GB NEP on June 30, 2026. On those figures, the A27 costs ₹500 less. Because the announcements are from different dates and offers can change, check current prices for the exact SKU before buying.

Samsung’s announcement also lists ₹28,999 for 6GB/128GB and ₹31,999 for 8GB/128GB. Those are lower-capacity configurations, so they are not direct price matches for the 8GB/256GB Reno14.

Camera choice: telephoto hardware versus a macro camera
The clearest camera-system distinction is on the rear. Reno14 includes a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera with OIS, and OPPO lists optical zoom up to 3.5×. Samsung’s listed rear set pairs its 50MP OIS main camera with an ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera, but no telephoto camera is listed. That gives the Reno14 a dedicated telephoto option on paper; it does not establish that its photos are better overall. Megapixel counts and listed hardware cannot replace side-by-side testing in the conditions you care about.

The selfie cameras also differ in stated resolution—50MP with autofocus listed for Reno14 and 12MP for A27—but resolution alone does not determine selfie quality.

Reno14 has the higher stated battery capacity and wired charging rate: 6,000mAh typical and 80W, compared with the A27’s 5,000mAh typical and 25W. Typical and rated battery capacities are both shown above because manufacturers publish both figures. Capacity and wattage do not establish real-world battery life or charging time, which vary with usage and conditions.

Samsung lists the larger display diagonal at 6.7 inches, while OPPO lists the Reno14’s higher pixel count at 1256 × 2760. Both are listed as AMOLED-family displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz. Those specifications alone do not determine which panel looks better; size and resolution are measurable differences, not a comparative display-quality test.
Software support, durability and expandable storage
Software support
Samsung says the Galaxy A27 5G will receive up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates from its initial global launch date. This is Samsung’s stated support commitment, not a claim that every update arrives simultaneously in every country. OPPO’s cited India specifications page lists ColorOS 15.0 but does not provide a comparable support-duration commitment. Check the current update status and regional terms for the exact device before purchase. (Samsung Mobile Press announcement, June 25, 2026)

Durability
OPPO’s India newsroom states IP66, IP68 and IP69 certifications and Gorilla Glass 7i for Reno14. Samsung’s global specification table lists IP64 for A27, and its India launch announcement identifies Gorilla Glass Victus+. These ratings are not interchangeable claims about identical exposure conditions; consult each device’s local documentation and warranty for coverage details.
Memory-card expansion
Samsung lists microSD expansion up to 2TB, while OPPO’s cited India specifications page does not state memory-card support. If removable storage matters, confirm the exact Indian retail SKU and its card-slot arrangement before buying.

Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the OPPO Reno14 5G if a dedicated telephoto camera, higher stated battery capacity or faster wired charging is more important to you. Verify the retail price and availability for the particular color and memory configuration.
- Consider the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G if Samsung’s stated long software-support commitment, a larger listed screen diagonal or microSD expansion better fits how you plan to use the phone.
- Compare exact offers before deciding: the ₹500 difference above uses reference prices announced on different dates, not a live, same-day market survey. Confirm warranty, network-band compatibility, stock, included accessories and software status for your country and exact SKU.
