The OPPO Reno14 5G is the better fit if you want a smaller screen, a 3.5x optical telephoto camera, and a higher stated battery capacity. The Nothing Phone (4a) gives you a larger display and a camera system Nothing advertises with up to 70x zoom. Neither is an automatic winner: the zoom claims describe different things, and the available prices are historical launch figures from different markets and dates—not a reliable current price comparison.

Which phone has the better display?
The Phone (4a) has the larger screen in the available comparison: 6.78 inches versus 6.59 inches on the Reno14 5G. That extra size may suit video, reading, and games, while the Reno14’s smaller display may be easier to manage if you prefer a more compact phone. Both are listed at 120Hz. OPPO specifies LTPS OLED and describes the Reno14 display as 1.5K; the 91mobiles listing calls the Nothing panel Flexible AMOLED. Those labels do not, by themselves, establish which screen looks better in everyday use.
How do their cameras compare?
Optical zoom is not the same as maximum advertised zoom
OPPO’s India launch material highlights 3.5x optical telephoto zoom on the Reno14 5G. Nothing’s UK page promotes a three-camera system and “up to 70x” zoom. The 91mobiles comparison lists a 3.5x optical periscope camera for the Phone (4a) as well. Optical zoom uses the telephoto camera’s optics; a much higher maximum zoom figure can involve digital processing and should not be read as equivalent optical magnification. The 70x claim is Nothing’s marketing claim, not an independent image-quality assessment.

Camera hardware in the comparison listing
According to 91mobiles, the Reno14 5G has a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP telephoto camera. Its Phone (4a) listing gives a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP periscope camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide. Megapixel counts alone do not show which phone produces better photos; the available sources do not establish a comparable camera test result.
Battery capacity and charging
91mobiles lists a 6000mAh battery and 80W wired charging for the Reno14 5G, compared with 5400mAh and 50W for the Phone (4a). Those are stated capacities and charging rates, not a guarantee that the Reno14 will last longer for every owner. Screen settings, signal strength, workload, software, and charging conditions all affect real use.

91mobiles also reports PCMark battery results of 12 hours 20 minutes for the Reno14 and 14 hours 42 minutes for the Phone (4a). The page does not identify an external testing organization for these figures, so treat them as results reported by that site—not as a universal battery-life prediction or a controlled comparison you can assume will match your use.

OPPO says the Reno14 5G has an aerospace-grade aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass 7i, and IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications. These are manufacturer claims. The reviewed Nothing product-page text does not establish comparable frame, glass, or ingress-protection details, so the available evidence is not enough to declare a tested durability winner.

For software, Nothing’s UK page highlights Nothing OS and Essential AI tools. The Android versions and update periods—Android 15 with five years of OS and six years of security updates for Reno14, versus Android 16 with three years of OS and six years of security updates for Phone (4a)—are reported by 91mobiles, not verified here against a manufacturer support policy. Confirm the policy for the precise regional model if update longevity is a deciding factor.
What do they cost, and are they available?
The figures below are announced launch prices, not current retailer prices. They come from different launch dates, and some storage configurations do not match, so they cannot establish today’s price difference.

The India prices are historical launch announcements; the Nothing India figures come from search-result content, so confirm them with a functioning official listing before relying on them. At the time 91mobiles was accessed on 7 October 2026, its comparison page marked both phones unavailable in any store. Check current retailer stock and the exact storage variant in your market before making a purchase decision. OPPO’s launch announcement named Amazon India, Flipkart, mainline retail outlets, and OPPO’s e-store as launch sales channels; that does not confirm current stock.
Performance figures: use them cautiously
91mobiles reports Geekbench multi-core scores of 4,105 for the Reno14 5G and 3,364 for the Phone (4a), plus AnTuTu scores of 1,405,935 and 1,176,492, respectively. These are figures reported by 91mobiles; its comparison page does not identify an external testing organization for the results. Benchmark scores can vary with software, device configuration, and test conditions, and do not by themselves determine how responsive a phone feels in your apps.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Reno14 5G if you prefer a smaller listed display, value OPPO’s stated 3.5x optical telephoto camera, or prioritize the larger stated battery capacity and faster listed wired charging.
- Choose the Phone (4a) if you want the larger listed screen and prefer Nothing OS with its advertised Essential AI tools.
- Compare exact local listings if price is decisive. Launch prices differ by date, market, and memory configuration; they are not a substitute for current same-market offers.
Neither the supplied specifications nor the cited marketing claims establish an overall winner for camera quality, battery life, durability, or value. Those depend on real-world testing, your priorities, and the exact local model and price.
