There is no reliable single current price gap established by the available listings. The announced base prices differ by ₹2,000, but they were set in different years; a later third-party snapshot does not establish a matched, in-stock comparison.

Which phone has the better display?
The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro has the larger and faster-refreshing display on the published specifications: 6.83 inches and 144Hz, against the Reno14’s 6.59 inches and 120Hz. Both are listed as 1.5K AMOLED panels. The size and refresh-rate advantage may matter for a roomier viewing area or smoother supported motion; it does not by itself establish better brightness, color accuracy or outdoor visibility.

Neither specification sheet proves which phone takes better photos. The differences are more useful as a guide to camera priorities than as a quality ranking.

OPPO lists a 50MP front camera and says 4K HDR video at 60fps is supported across the telephoto, main and front cameras. That makes the front-camera resolution and stated video modes notable on paper, but image quality still depends on processing, lighting and camera behavior in use.

Phone (4a) Pro: periscope zoom
Nothing lists a 50MP periscope camera with 3.5x optical zoom and claims up to 140x ultra zoom. The 140x figure is an ultra-zoom claim, not 140x optical magnification. Nothing lists a 32MP front camera and advertises 4K Ultra XDR video.
Both manufacturers list 3.5x optical zoom, so do not choose solely by the zoom number. For a camera-led purchase, compare sample photos and video from the exact regional models, especially in low light and at the zoom levels you expect to use.

Which phone has better battery and charging?
On stated India specifications, Reno14 has the larger battery and faster wired charging: 6,000mAh and 80W, compared with the Phone (4a) Pro’s India-specific 5,400mAh and 50W. Battery capacity and charging wattage do not establish real-world battery life or a precise charging time; usage, software, temperature and charging conditions affect both. Nothing lists a different 5,080mAh capacity for other markets, so check that the listing is the India model.
How do performance and software support compare?
The Reno14 uses MediaTek Dimensity 8350; the Phone (4a) Pro uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Chipset names alone are not enough to call a performance winner: matched independent tests for these exact models were not established by the cited manufacturer sources.

Nothing states three years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates for the Phone (4a) Pro on its India product page. OPPO’s cited launch announcement identifies ColorOS 15 but does not state an update duration. That absence in the launch announcement is not proof that OPPO provides no support; check OPPO’s current official India terms for the exact model before buying on the basis of update longevity.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Reno14 5G if you prioritize its stated 6,000mAh India battery, 80W wired charging, 50MP selfie camera or OPPO’s ColorOS approach—and its live price is favorable.
- Consider the Phone (4a) Pro if you want the larger 144Hz display, periscope zoom, Nothing’s software and design approach, or its stated update period.
- Compare like-for-like storage. The base configurations are 8GB/128GB, and both makers list 12GB/256GB options; ensure listings match before judging value.
Check the exact model, regional SKU, seller, warranty and live stock. Manufacturer specifications do not settle camera quality, sustained performance or battery endurance.
