In India, OPPO’s published launch prices put the Reno15 5G’s entry configuration ₹8,000 above the Reno13 5G’s—but the Reno15 base model has twice the storage, and the prices come from different years. Reno15 also lists a larger battery and a dedicated telephoto camera. Those specifications do not, by themselves, prove better battery life, speed or photo quality.
India launch prices: what the ₹8,000 gap means
OPPO India’s launch prices show an ₹8,000 difference between the least expensive listed configurations: ₹37,999 for the Reno13 5G with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and ₹45,999 for the Reno15 5G with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. That is not a like-for-like price comparison: the Reno15 base configuration has twice the storage, and its price was announced a year later.

What changes for performance, battery and cameras
Performance: different chips, no proven speed winner
The Reno13 uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8350, while the Reno15 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The chipset names identify different hardware, but do not establish which phone will feel faster in everyday use or perform better during sustained workloads. The cited product materials do not provide a comparable independent benchmark.

Battery: higher rated capacity on Reno15
OPPO lists typical capacities of 5600mAh for Reno13 and 6500mAh for Reno15. Both India specification pages list 80W SUPERVOOC charging support. Capacity alone cannot predict runtime: actual battery life depends on use and other factors, and the listed charging support is not a measured charging-time comparison.
Cameras: Reno15 lists a telephoto lens
The Reno15’s listed India rear setup comprises a 50MP main camera, 50MP telephoto camera and 8MP ultrawide camera. OPPO also describes the Reno15 telephoto as offering 3.5× portrait framing. That is a stated hardware capability and manufacturer description, not independent evidence that it takes better photos than the Reno13.
Rank #3
- 6.32 inches, AMOLED, 1B colors, 1216 x 2640 pixels
- 512GB Storage, 12GB RAM
- Android 16, ColorOS 16, Mediatek Dimensity 8450 (4 nm), Octa-core (1x3.25 GHz Cortex-A725 & 3x3.0 GHz Cortex-A725 & 4x2.1 GHz Cortex-A725)

OPPO’s Reno15 announcement also highlights a 50MP ultrawide selfie camera. The India specification page lists the front camera as 50MP with a 100° field of view. Neither figure substitutes for a head-to-head camera test.
Which model makes more sense to compare?
- For price: Compare current prices for the same storage tier. The ₹8,000 entry-price gap compares different capacities and different launch periods.
- For speed: Do not choose on chipset names alone; the cited sources do not establish a performance winner.
- For battery: Reno15 has the larger stated typical capacity, while both list 80W charging support. Neither number guarantees a particular runtime or charging time.
- For camera hardware: Reno15’s listed telephoto camera is a distinct feature to consider if telephoto framing matters to you; the specifications do not establish which phone produces better images overall.
Check the India model and sale details
OPPO announced the Reno15 series launch for January 8, 2026, with retail availability from January 13, 2026. Announcement and sale dates are distinct. OPPO’s Reno15 series announcement gives those dates.

Regional differences matter for connectivity: the India Reno15 specification page says eSIM is unsupported, while OPPO’s global Reno15 page lists eSIM support. For an India purchase, verify the exact model identifier, supported bands, warranty and included charger on the specific listing; do not assume another region’s configuration applies.
