The OPPO Reno13 Pro 5G is a polished, camera-focused upper mid-range phone whose standout feature is a stabilized 3.5× telephoto camera. Its vivid 120Hz AMOLED display, large battery and fast wired charging round out a compelling package, but performance is not class-leading and the value depends on the price in your market. The India-specific model and specifications discussed below may differ from versions sold elsewhere.
What is the OPPO Reno13 Pro, and which version does this review cover?
This review centers on the India-market OPPO Reno13 Pro 5G, model CPH2697. OPPO India lists 12GB of RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of storage. Check the model number, storage, warranty region and local specifications before buying; reviews from other markets may refer to different configurations.

OPPO announced the Reno13 series in India on 9 January 2025, with availability announced for 11 January through its e-store, Flipkart and mainline retail outlets. The Pro launched from INR 49,999. That is historical launch pricing, not a current price quote. OPPO India’s specifications and India launch announcement are the relevant regional references.
What are the Reno13 Pro’s strengths?
A useful telephoto camera, not just a high megapixel count
The India specification lists a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP autofocus ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP OIS telephoto camera. The Indian Express identifies the telephoto as 3.5× optical zoom and praises the selfie camera; the front camera is listed at 50MP with autofocus. Rear and front video are listed up to 4K at 60fps. OPPO’s specifications establish the hardware, while The Indian Express review supplies the review observations.

The dedicated stabilized telephoto is the camera system’s most distinctive practical advantage for portraits and zoomed-in framing. Reviews generally praise the main and telephoto cameras, but that does not make every lens equally strong: 91mobiles found more detail in the Realme GT 6’s ultra-wide in its sample comparison. That is a result from a particular comparison, not a universal ranking across scenes. 91mobiles’ review also compares camera results across use cases.
A large, fluid display and premium-feeling build
OPPO lists a 17.35cm diagonal AMOLED screen—about 6.83 inches—with 1272 × 2800 resolution, refresh rates up to 120Hz and Gorilla Glass 7i. Its listed brightness is 600 nits typical normal maximum and 1,200 nits in HBM. Reviewers praise the display’s size, color and fluidity, as well as the phone’s glass-and-metal feel. Tech Advisor notes that the glass can still pick up minor scratches, so the material should not be taken as a promise of scratch-proof protection. OPPO India’s specification page lists the figures; Tech Advisor’s review discusses its experience with the display.

Strong battery capacity and fast wired charging
The India model is listed with a 5,800mAh typical battery capacity and 5,640mAh rated capacity. OPPO announced 80W SUPERVOOC charging for the India series. In The Indian Express reviewer’s use, the phone exceeded seven hours of screen-on time and took less than 50 minutes to reach a full charge. Those are observations from one reviewer’s usage, not a controlled test or a guarantee of what every owner will get. The Indian Express review reports those results.
Dust and water resistance ratings
OPPO announced IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings for the India series. These ratings describe resistance under specified test conditions; they do not mean the phone is waterproof or guaranteed to survive every immersion, liquid, pressure or damage scenario. OPPO’s India launch announcement states the ratings.

Where does the Reno13 Pro fall short?
Performance is capable, but not a class leader
The India specification lists a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 and ColorOS 15.0. Reviews characterize performance as solid for ordinary use, but not a standout at the phone’s launch price. 91mobiles found the Realme GT 6’s processor stronger while describing that phone as cheaper; TechRadar characterizes the Dimensity 8350 as a mid-range chipset. These are reviewer assessments, not a claim that the Reno13 Pro cannot handle demanding apps or games. 91mobiles and TechRadar discuss performance.
Software clutter and feature availability
91mobiles notes numerous pre-installed apps, and TechRadar criticizes bloatware and some AI image-editing features. TechRadar also reports an update promise for its review market, but update commitments and feature availability can vary by region and software version. Check OPPO’s current support terms for the exact model and country rather than assuming a promise reported in another market applies to CPH2697. 91mobiles’ review and TechRadar’s review describe these software trade-offs.

Some expected conveniences are absent or market-dependent
The Indian Express review notes there is no wireless charging. Tech Advisor reports no Micro-SD card support and no headphone jack. These details are worth checking against the precise regional variant; USB-C or Bluetooth audio are alternatives if the local version lacks a headphone jack. The Indian Express and Tech Advisor cover these omissions.

It is most appealing if you value a dedicated telephoto for portraits and zoom, a large high-refresh display, and a substantial battery with fast wired charging. Its main and telephoto cameras, build and screen are the clearest strengths across the reviews. It is a less obvious choice if your priorities are top-tier processing for the money, consistently strong ultra-wide images, a cleaner software setup, or wireless charging.

Price is the deciding factor. The INR 49,999 starting figure was the India launch price in January 2025, not a live October 2026 offer. Reviewers questioned value at launch, including 91mobiles’ comparison with the cheaper Realme GT 6 and Tech Advisor’s criticism of a price increase in the UK. Compare current local prices, storage, warranty region and software support before choosing; those historical assessments do not establish today’s best buy.
How to compare it with the Realme GT 6 or Honor 200
91mobiles discusses the Reno13 Pro alongside the Realme GT 6 and Honor 200. Compare the variants available to you rather than assuming launch prices or configurations still match.
- Price and storage: Use current local listings, normalize storage, and confirm the warranty region.
- Performance: 91mobiles found the Realme GT 6’s processor stronger in its comparison; consider how much gaming or demanding work matters to you.
- Cameras: Weigh the Reno13 Pro’s dedicated 3.5× telephoto and praised selfie camera against ultra-wide detail, low-light results and color processing. Review comparisons show strengths can vary by lens and scene.
- Software: Check the pre-installed apps, useful AI features and update terms for your region and software version.
- Battery and charging: Compare charging support and real-world use as well as battery capacity; figures from one reviewer are not directly comparable to every owner’s experience.
91mobiles’ comparison and review provides the cited competitor context.
