OPPO lists a single 6.82-inch 144Hz QHD+ ProXDR AMOLED display. It keeps the standard phone form factor while pairing a high-refresh-rate screen with a camera system that includes a dedicated 10x optical telephoto camera. This design is the more direct fit if you do not want to unfold your phone to access a larger screen.

Samsung’s book-style design centers on an 8-inch inner display, with a 6.5-inch cover display for use while folded. TechRadar reports 120Hz refresh rates for both panels and a weight of 215g. The larger inner screen is the key practical distinction for viewing and multitasking; Samsung positions the device around expanded workspace, multitasking, content creation, and foldable viewing. The cited specifications alone do not establish which screen is brighter, more color-accurate, or better in everyday use.

OPPO’s global launch material also highlights the 50MP 10x optical camera and two 200MP cameras. The manufacturer states a 14mm–460mm focal range. Those figures make the Find X9 Ultra the more clearly specified option for users who want dedicated long-range optical framing, but they do not prove that its photos outperform Samsung’s in real scenes.
Fold8 Ultra: a high-resolution main camera in a foldable
Samsung specifies a 200MP main camera with HDR support and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The cited launch specifications do not establish an equivalent 10x optical telephoto capability. If zoom reach is central to your decision, compare the published camera modules rather than treating the shared 200MP headline as a complete camera comparison.

Video specifications and creative workflows
OPPO India says the Find X9 Ultra supports 4K recording at 60fps, Dolby Vision HDR at 120fps, and 8K at 30fps, alongside O-Log2, ACES, and 3D LUT workflows. These are manufacturer-published modes and workflow features, not evidence of tested recording quality, sustained performance, or compatibility with every editing setup. OPPO lists a 7,050mAh battery with 100W SUPERVOOC wired and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. Samsung lists a 5,000mAh battery. Capacity and charging rates do not by themselves establish real-world runtime or how long a full charge takes: those outcomes depend on usage and testing conditions, and no direct battery-life comparison is available here. OPPO specifies the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for the Find X9 Ultra. The cited Samsung launch material does not identify a chipset, so there is not enough comparable information here to declare a performance winner. Price difference: why these figures cannot be subtracted
OPPO India announced INR 169,999 for the Find X9 Ultra 12GB + 512GB configuration, with sales beginning May 26, 2026 through OPPO’s store, Flipkart, Amazon, and retail outlets. This is an India launch price, not a verified current listing. TechRadar reported Samsung’s 256GB launch prices as $2,099.99 in the US, £1,899 in the UK, and AU$2,999 in Australia; larger storage tiers cost more. Since the examples differ by country and storage, converting or subtracting them would produce a misleading “price difference.” For a useful current comparison, check both phones in the same country, on the same date, and at matching storage capacity. Availability, local pricing, warranty, network bands, software, and in-box accessories can also vary by market.
Which one should you buy?
- Pick the OPPO Find X9 Ultra if you want a conventional phone and prioritize the published 10x optical telephoto, broad stated video modes, larger battery capacity, and fast charging specifications.
- Pick the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra if you want a foldable with an 8-inch inner screen and see a larger workspace and multitasking as central to how you use a phone.
- Compare local listings before deciding on price: the available launch-price examples are for different countries and storage tiers, so they do not establish which phone currently costs less for you.
