The OPPO Find X9 Pro and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra suit different priorities: OPPO is a conventional flagship phone with a camera-focused specification and a larger stated battery, while Samsung’s foldable opens to an 8-inch screen. There is no verified current, same-market price comparison in the available figures, so the better choice depends first on whether you want a standard phone or a larger foldable workspace.
How the two phones differ in everyday use
The central distinction is the form factor. The Find X9 Pro has one large, conventional screen. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra has a 6.5-inch cover display for folded use and an 8-inch inner display when opened. That inner screen is the clearest reason to choose Samsung for reading, viewing media or working with more screen space; it is not a like-for-like alternative to a standard slab phone.

Samsung UK lists both displays as Dynamic AMOLED 2X with a maximum 120Hz refresh rate. OPPO India lists a 17.23 cm display with FHD+ resolution and a maximum 120Hz refresh rate. These are manufacturer specifications, not a matched test of brightness, color or viewing quality.

Which phone has the better camera?
On the published specifications available here, the Find X9 Pro has the more detailed listed camera setup: a 200MP stabilized telephoto camera alongside 50MP wide and ultra-wide cameras, a 2MP monochrome sensor and a 50MP front camera. That describes hardware, not image quality. Megapixel counts alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos, and a complete Samsung camera specification or matched image test is not available for this comparison.
OPPO’s 29 October 2025 UAE launch announcement quoted its SVP and Chief Product Officer Pete Lau calling the phone’s telephoto camera an “industry-leading” innovation. That is OPPO’s promotional characterization, not independent comparative evidence. OPPO UAE launch announcement.

Battery capacity and charging
OPPO lists a 7500mAh typical battery capacity (7290mAh rated), with charging up to 80W wired and 50W wireless. Samsung lists a 5000mAh typical capacity and says the Fold8 Ultra can deliver up to 27 hours of wireless video playback on its UK product page. Capacity and video playback are different measures, so they do not establish a direct battery-life winner. Real endurance depends on factors such as usage, network conditions, display settings and software.

Which is cheaper, the Find X9 Pro or Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra?
A current price winner cannot be named from the verified figures. OPPO’s UAE launch announcement dated 29 October 2025 gave an AED 4,499 launch price for a 16GB + 512GB configuration. TechRadar reported UK and Australia prices of £1,099 and AU$2,299 at review time. Those figures refer to different regions and dates; neither is a current same-market comparison with Samsung. Check local listings for the same date, storage tier, tax treatment and retailer type before deciding which costs less.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which one should you choose?
Choose the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra if
- You expect to use the 8-inch unfolded display for reading, media or multitasking often enough to value a foldable design.
- You want a cover screen for ordinary folded use as well as a larger screen when opened.
Choose the OPPO Find X9 Pro if
- You prefer a conventional phone rather than a device that unfolds into a tablet-sized display.
- The listed camera hardware, 16GB RAM / 512GB storage configuration, or higher stated battery capacity and charging rates matter most to you.
Before buying either phone, compare the exact regional model and storage tier, local price, warranty and repair support. For a camera decision, look for matched real-world samples rather than treating sensor resolution as a quality score; for battery life, compare tests run under the same conditions.
