Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

On specifications, the OPPO F35 Pro 5G stands out for its 8,000 mAh typical battery, up-to-144 Hz display and wide-angle selfie camera. Recent Samsung A models offer a range of price tiers and a stated six-year software-support commitment. These are specification-based distinctions, not results from comparative hands-on testing.
First, choose the Galaxy A model and market
Samsung’s US comparison page lists the Galaxy A57 5G, A37 5G, A27 5G and A17 5G at different tiers. The prices below are Samsung US starting prices before eligible trade-in, shown on its lineup page accessed October 7, 2026; they are not directly comparable with India prices for the OPPO F35 Pro.

| Galaxy A37 5G | $449.99 | 5,000 mAh | 50 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP |

| Galaxy A17 5G | $249.99 | 5,000 mAh | 50 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP |
These are US market references, not guaranteed current checkout prices. See Samsung’s Galaxy A-series comparison page and verify local pricing, configuration and availability. The OPPO product page and reported launch prices covered here are for India, so a fair price decision needs a Samsung model sold in India at the same storage tier and a current local price.

Battery capacity and charging
OPPO lists an 8,000 mAh typical battery capacity and 7,780 mAh rated capacity for the F35 Pro 5G. Samsung’s US lineup page lists 5,000 mAh batteries for the four models above. Capacity is not a battery-life test: screen settings, network conditions, software and workload affect how long a phone lasts. OPPO also specifies charging up to 80 W SUPERVOOC; that maximum is a stated charging specification, not a guarantee of a particular charge time.

- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).
- Compatibility with certain third-party devices and accessibility accessories, including some hearing aids, may vary depending on manufacturer support, Bluetooth protocols, software compatibility, and regional firmware limitations. For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.

Display and cameras
The F35 Pro has a 17.22 cm AMOLED display with a listed resolution of 2772 × 1272 pixels. OPPO specifies adaptive 60, 90 and 120 Hz modes, with a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz. Its camera hardware includes a 50 MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP ultra-wide rear camera with a 116° field of view, and a 50 MP front camera with a 100° field of view. Rear video recording is listed up to 4K at 30 fps.
Those figures describe hardware, not image quality. They do not establish that the OPPO takes better photos or video than any particular Galaxy A model; that would require a direct comparison under consistent conditions.

OPPO reports IP69K, IP69, IP68 and IP66 testing for the handset, while warning that water- and dust-resistance can diminish with wear. A protection rating is not a promise that the phone cannot be damaged. The official in-box list includes a charger, USB cable, SIM tool, protective case and quick guide alongside the phone, but OPPO says contents may vary by market. Check the package for your region.

Where Samsung may be the better fit
More price tiers to choose from
The US Galaxy A lineup spans four listed starting prices, from $249.99 for the A17 5G to $549.99 for the A57 5G before eligible trade-in. This gives a buyer more Samsung price tiers to evaluate, but does not establish that any one Galaxy A is cheaper than the F35 Pro in the same country. Compare the exact model, storage and current local checkout price rather than treating “Galaxy A-series” as a single competitor.
A stated software-support period
Samsung says the A57 5G and A37 5G receive up to six generations of OS upgrades and up to six years of security updates in its March 25, 2026 announcement. Its June 25, 2026 A27 announcement specifies up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades plus six years of security updates. Samsung’s US lineup page also presents six years of security updates for the series. Confirm the wording for the exact model and region before buying.

OPPO describes “6-Year Smoothness Protection” for the F35 Pro, but that is a smoothness claim based on a lab test, not a stated Android OS or security-update period. OPPO limits the six-year claim to 8 GB/256 GB and higher variants; it says the 6 GB/128 GB versions receive five-year smoothness protection. Do not treat those claims as equivalent to Samsung’s stated update commitment. See OPPO’s F35 Pro specifications and product details.

A possible lower-tier comparison
Samsung announced a 6.7-inch 120 Hz Super AMOLED display and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 platform for the Galaxy A27. It may be a more relevant tier to investigate than the A57 for some shoppers, but the available prices here do not establish price parity with the India-market F35 Pro. Check the A27’s local price and storage configuration before comparing.

How to make a fair choice
- Match the market. Compare phones sold in the same country, using local taxes, retailer and current checkout prices. Do not compare OPPO’s reported India prices with Samsung’s US prices.
- Match storage and price basis. Compare the same storage tier where possible, and note whether a listed price assumes a trade-in, promotion or other condition.
- Prioritize what specifications can answer. If you value stated battery capacity, maximum refresh rate or a wide-field front camera, the OPPO’s listed hardware is notable. If software support or a particular Samsung price tier matters more, verify the exact Galaxy A model’s regional commitment and price.
- Look for evidence beyond specifications. For battery endurance, camera results, processor speed and heat, use independent tests of the specific models. The specifications cited here do not settle those real-world comparisons.
