Do not treat the ColorOS number as a count of Android upgrades. ColorOS is OPPO’s software layer and version label; a ColorOS update can include interface, performance or feature changes without representing a new Android major version. These figures are not a promise that every charging session will match the same percentages. OPPO says results can change with the environment, test conditions and individual use. Can I use any USB-C charger?
You can connect the phone to other compatible USB-C power adapters, but an arbitrary adapter should not be expected to provide 80W SUPERVOOC speed. What you need
- Enable USB-OTG in the phone’s settings if it is not already active. The exact menu wording can vary by ColorOS version.
- Connect the F35 to the receiving device with a dedicated USB-C-to-USB-C cable.
- Check the charging direction on both devices. If the recipient does not begin charging, disconnect and verify OTG, cable orientation and compatibility.
OPPO recommends using an official OPPO C-to-C cable for safety. The recipient device’s OTG implementation and power requirements can determine whether charging starts and how consistently it operates. A device that needs more power than the F35 can provide may charge slowly or not at all.

The IP66, IP68 and IP69 tests are referenced to GB/T 4208-2017 (China) and IEC 60529-2013 (international), while IP69K is referenced to ISO 20653:2023. These standards describe specific test conditions, not every situation a phone may encounter.

Can I use the OPPO F35 in rain or take it swimming?
Rain and splashes
Brief exposure to ordinary rain or accidental splashes is the kind of everyday situation the phone’s stated resistance is intended to help with, provided the device is in normal condition. Keep exposure limited, wipe it promptly and avoid pressing buttons or connecting accessories while water is present.
Swimming, baths and deliberate immersion
Do not take the F35 swimming, use it underwater or deliberately submerge it. OPPO’s disclosure specifically says not to immerse the product. Pool chemicals, soaps, heat, pressure and repeated wetting are outside the practical safety implied by the laboratory rating.
Seawater, drinks and other liquids
Do not expose the phone to seawater, beverages or other liquids. Salt, sugar and chemicals can leave conductive or corrosive residue even after the surface appears dry. The IP rating does not certify resistance to those substances.
Water resistance can decline
OPPO says resistance may diminish through ordinary wear. Drops, damaged seals, repairs, opened ports and aging can change the conditions that existed during laboratory testing. Treat the rating as a protective margin, not as permanent insurance against liquid damage.
What should I do if the OPPO F35 gets wet?
- Move it away from the liquid and disconnect any cable or accessory.
- Shake off excess water gently and wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth.
- Hold ports facing downward so trapped liquid can drain naturally.
- Leave the phone in a dry, ventilated place until it is fully dry.
- Do not plug it in or attempt wired charging while any moisture remains.
“Do not charge the phone while wet.” That is OPPO’s explicit instruction. Liquid can also temporarily obstruct the microphone, earpiece or speaker, so muffled sound immediately after exposure does not necessarily indicate permanent failure. Do not use high heat, compressed air aimed into a port or foreign objects to force water out.
