The OPPO F33 Pro 5G costs more at launch than the F31 5G, with the clearest documented upgrade being its 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera. Both phones list a 7,000mAh typical battery and 80W charging support. At launch, the F33 Pro carried a ₹15,000 premium for 8GB/128GB and ₹16,000 for 8GB/256GB; whether that premium makes sense depends chiefly on how much you value the newer model’s front camera and other updated specifications.
How much more did the OPPO F33 Pro cost?
OPPO’s India launch prices show a substantial gap between matching memory configurations. The following differences are calculated from the two launch announcements, not from current street prices.

Later F33 Pro listing prices are different
On October 7, 2026, OPPO’s online listing showed the F33 Pro 8GB/128GB at an MOP of ₹39,999 and 8GB/256GB at ₹43,999. The listing also displayed cashback, bringing the shown effective prices to ₹36,999 and ₹40,999 respectively. These offer-adjusted figures are not the standard MOP. The listing did not establish a current F31 price, so a current like-for-like price gap cannot be confirmed. See OPPO’s online price listing.

OPPO’s F31 materials specify its processor, battery, charging and 16MP front camera on its F31 specifications page. The F33 Pro figures come from OPPO’s F33 product page and F33 specifications, alongside its launch announcement.
The F33 Pro’s front camera is the most concrete upgrade
The F33 Pro’s 50MP ultra-wide front camera and stated 100° field of view are particularly relevant for group selfies or fitting more of a scene into a selfie. The F31’s cited front-camera specification is 16MP. Resolution and field of view alone do not establish which phone takes better-looking photos: no independent matched camera test is established here.

A newer processor does not prove a measured speed advantage
The F33 Pro uses the newer-named Dimensity 6360 MAX, compared with the F31’s Dimensity 6300. Without independent benchmarks or comparable performance testing, that model-name difference is not enough to quantify speed, gaming gains or day-to-day responsiveness.

Both phones are listed with the same typical and rated battery capacities and 80W charging support. Those specifications do not show which lasts longer or reaches a given charge faster in real use; that would require testing under comparable conditions.

What else is documented about the F33 Pro?
OPPO describes the F33 Pro’s display as a 6.57-inch flat AMOLED panel with 1080 × 2372 resolution and an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz. Its launch materials list IP69K, IP68 and IP66 ratings, as well as MIL-STD-810H. OPPO says the water- and dust-resistance ratings were tested under controlled laboratory conditions. They should not be read as a guarantee against damage in every situation or as confirmation that water damage is covered by warranty. OPPO’s product page explains the test context.
OPPO’s F31 announcement also lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings. Rating labels alone do not establish that one phone is more durable overall, and the available specifications do not provide a matched durability test. The F33 Pro is identified as model CPH2835 and weighs about 194g, according to OPPO’s specifications page; a comparable F31 weight was not established here.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the F31 if the launch-price difference matters more than the newer selfie camera
The F31 is the lower-priced option in OPPO’s launch pricing, while sharing the F33 Pro’s stated battery capacity and charging class. Decide using an actual current quote for the exact configuration, since the launch-price gap is not a verified current discount or street-price comparison.
Consider the F33 Pro if you often take wide or group selfies
Its 50MP ultra-wide front camera is the strongest documented reason to pay more. The phone also launched later with ColorOS 16 and a Dimensity 6360 MAX, but the cited materials do not establish a quantified performance gain or comparative future software-support period.

- Distinguish an announced launch price or listing MOP from an offer-adjusted effective price.
- Check the price and stock for the exact model at the time you buy; the dated F33 Pro listing does not establish a current F31 offer.
