The OPPO F31 Pro+ 5G is the higher-tier model, with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, faster UFS 3.1 storage, a larger 6.8-inch AMOLED screen and a 32MP selfie camera. The F31 5G costs less at its September 2025 launch price and has a 6.5-inch screen, Dimensity 6300 and UFS 2.2 storage. Both are listed with a 7,000mAh typical battery and 80W charging. The launch-price gap was ₹10,000 at the entry configurations, but those configurations do not have the same storage.

Specifications are from OPPO India’s September 15, 2025 launch announcement and the official F31 Pro+ specifications page. Chipset and storage indicate different stated hardware tiers, not independently measured speed or an assurance of a particular real-world performance difference.

What was the launch price difference?

These are launch prices, not verified current prices. At the entry configurations, the Pro+ was ₹10,000 more, but it included 256GB storage versus 128GB on the base F31. The upper configurations also differed by ₹10,000, while the Pro+ option had 12GB RAM and the F31 option had 8GB. Neither pair isolates a like-for-like price premium. OPPO’s launch announcement lists the configurations and prices; its first-sale announcement gives historical sale information, not present stock or pricing.
Which model has the stronger performance hardware?
The Pro+ pairs a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 with UFS 3.1 storage; the F31 uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 and UFS 2.2. On the published specifications, the Pro+ is the stronger hardware tier. That comparison does not substitute for independent benchmarks, and the available specifications do not establish how much faster one feels in particular apps or games.

How do the screens and cameras differ?
Both phones have flat AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro+ screen is 6.8 inches, compared with 6.5 inches on the F31, so it offers more screen area; the larger size may also be less convenient for people who prefer a smaller handset.
The Pro+ has a 32MP front camera and optical image stabilization (OIS) on its 50MP main camera. The F31 has a 16MP front camera and a 50MP main camera without OIS listed in the supplied specifications. Their secondary rear cameras also differ: 2MP monochrome on the Pro+ and 2MP portrait on the F31. Resolution and stabilization specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos.

Are battery capacity and charging the same?
OPPO lists 7,000mAh typical battery capacity and 80W SUPERVOOC charging across the series. For the Pro+, OPPO also states a rated capacity of 6,820mAh alongside the typical figure. Typical and rated capacity are distinct manufacturer specifications; do not treat the two Pro+ numbers as competing measurements.
OPPO said its F31 Series battery uses bio-inspired electrolyte repair technology and retains 80% capacity after 1,800 cycles, described by the company as equal to five years of daily use. This is an OPPO manufacturer claim, not an independently verified result. OPPO’s September 15, 2025 announcement also reports that 79% of buyers rank durability as their top buying factor, attributing the figure to Counterpoint Research; the announcement does not state the survey year.

Which OPPO F31 should you choose?
- Choose the F31 5G if the lower launch entry price and 6.5-inch screen matter more to you, and its listed processor, storage and camera specifications meet your needs.
- Consider the F31 Pro+ 5G if you want the higher stated chipset and storage tier, a larger display, a higher-resolution selfie camera or OIS on the main camera.
- Compare exact variants before buying. The launch configurations vary in storage and RAM, so compare the specific memory option and current seller price rather than relying on the headline ₹10,000 gap.
The F31 Series was initially announced for sale through Amazon, Flipkart, OPPO E-store and offline stores. That historical channel information does not confirm present availability. Check the exact model and RAM/storage variant, live price, stock, seller and warranty before ordering.
