The OPPO F31 Pro+ 5G and vivo T5x 5G take different approaches: OPPO lists an AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, main-camera OIS and up to 80W charging; vivo lists a larger 7200mAh battery, a Dimensity 7400-Turbo and a 50MP Sony main camera. The prices available for comparison are not like-for-like: OPPO’s figures are September 2025 launch prices for 256GB models, while vivo’s ₹27,999 store display was for a selected 6GB/128GB configuration and can change.

Price difference in India: why the figures are not a direct comparison
| Phone and configuration | Price shown | Price context |
|---|---|---|
| OPPO F31 Pro+ 5G, 8GB/256GB | ₹32,999 | OPPO India launch price announced in September 2025; sales began 19 September 2025. |
| OPPO F31 Pro+ 5G, 12GB/256GB | ₹34,999 | OPPO India launch price announced in September 2025; sales began 19 September 2025. |
| vivo T5x 5G, selected 6GB/128GB configuration | ₹27,999; MRP ₹45,999 | Price displayed on vivo India’s store when checked; it can change and applies to the selected configuration. |
OPPO’s figures are historical launch prices, not verified current transaction prices. vivo’s displayed price is for a lower-memory, lower-storage configuration than either OPPO model in the table. The available figures therefore do not establish a current price gap between equivalent variants. Check the selected RAM and storage tier and the live listing before comparing what you would pay. OPPO’s launch announcement is at OPPO India’s September 2025 release; the selected vivo listing is at vivo India’s store.

What the specification differences mean for your choice
Display: AMOLED and 120Hz versus LCD
OPPO specifies an AMOLED panel with up to 120Hz refresh; vivo specifies an LCD. If display technology and a published high refresh-rate option are priorities, those specifications favor OPPO on paper. The listed figures alone do not establish which screen is brighter or looks better in use.
Performance: different processors, no comparable test result
The F31 Pro+ lists Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the T5x lists MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400-Turbo. Chip names do not determine which phone performs better in sustained workloads or everyday use; the manufacturer specifications cited here do not provide a controlled comparison.

Battery capacity and charging: capacity is not endurance
vivo lists 7200mAh, compared with OPPO’s 7000mAh typical and 6820mAh rated capacity. OPPO lists charging up to 80W and vivo lists 44W. These are capacity and charging-rate specifications, not measured battery runtimes or full-charge times, so they cannot by themselves show which phone lasts longer or recharges faster in a comparable test.

OPPO lists optical image stabilization (OIS) on its 50MP main camera; vivo identifies a Sony IMX852 sensor for its 50MP main camera. Those are distinct hardware details, but neither establishes which phone takes better photos or video. The listed front cameras are both 32MP.

Size, weight and software
vivo lists the T5x at 219g. OPPO lists about 195g for Gemstone Blue and about 204g for its other listed colors, with a qualification that actual weight can vary. OPPO lists ColorOS 15.0 and vivo lists OriginOS 6.0; the version names alone do not settle which interface or software experience you will prefer.

Which phone should you buy?
- Choose the OPPO F31 Pro+ on specifications if AMOLED, up to 120Hz refresh, listed main-camera OIS or up to 80W charging matter most to you.
- Choose the vivo T5x on specifications if its listed 7200mAh capacity or Sony IMX852 main-camera sensor better fits your priorities.
- For a price-led decision, compare current listings for the same storage tier. The available price evidence pairs OPPO launch prices for 256GB variants with a vivo store price for a selected 128GB variant, so it cannot fairly identify the cheaper equivalent phone.
- For performance, camera quality, battery life or charging time, seek comparable tests for the exact variants rather than treating component names and manufacturer ratings as test outcomes.
