The OPPO F29 Pro 5G adds a quad-curved display, optical image stabilization (OIS) on its main camera and 80W charging; the OPPO F29 5G has a larger stated 6500mAh battery and launched for less. Both share a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen class and similar headline camera resolutions. At launch in India, the price gap was ₹4,000 for either shared storage tier. That is a specification comparison, not a hands-on review, and launch prices are not current offers.
OPPO F29 Pro vs F29: the key differences
OPPO introduced both phones in India on 20 March 2025. The figures below distinguish manufacturer-published specifications from historical launch pricing; they do not predict real-world speed, battery life or photo quality.

OPPO’s launch announcement and individual specifications pages also list a 2MP secondary rear camera, a 16MP selfie camera, ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 at launch, and IP66/IP68/IP69 protection claims for both models. OPPO says the series devices were tested in Bengaluru by SGS for those IP ratings; this is a manufacturer-reported test claim, not an independent comparative assessment of the phones.

Choose the F29 Pro for its listed hardware features
- Prefer a quad-curved display over a flat one.
- Want OIS listed for the 50MP main camera. The specification is not a substitute for comparable photo testing.
- Value the higher advertised wired charging rate: 80W rather than 45W.
Choose the F29 if battery capacity and launch value matter more
- Prefer a flat display.
- Want the higher stated capacity: 6500mAh instead of the Pro’s 6000mAh.
- Are comparing the March 2025 launch prices, when the F29 cost ₹4,000 less at both shared 8GB storage tiers.
OPPO also says its lab testing supports a five-year battery-life claim for the series. That is the manufacturer’s claim, not independent evidence that either model will maintain a particular capacity or deliver a particular runtime for five years.

What is the price difference now?
Launch prices provide a clean historical comparison, but they should not be mistaken for current offers. On 7 October 2026, OPPO’s live F29 series page displayed “From ₹23,999” for the F29 Pro and “From ₹21,999” for the F29, alongside crossed-out prices. Those page displays are not guaranteed checkout prices for a selected configuration. A 91mobiles listing showed a separate marketplace snapshot and labeled the F29 out of stock. The different listing contexts do not establish one definitive current market price.
Before deciding, choose the exact RAM and storage configuration, check stock for that variant, and compare the final checkout price after applicable offers. The F29 Pro has a 12GB/256GB launch configuration in the cited launch pricing; the F29 launch configurations listed were 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.

What the specifications do—and do not—settle
The published specifications make the clearest trade-offs straightforward: curved screen, listed OIS and higher charging wattage on the Pro; more stated battery capacity and lower historical launch pricing on the F29. They do not establish which phone lasts longer in a particular person’s use, charges faster in practice under all conditions, takes better photos overall, or performs better in every task. No comparable independent test in the cited material resolves those questions.
OPPO’s launch announcement quoted Savio D’Souza, Head of Product Communications at OPPO India, describing the series as “built for India” and a “Durable Champion.” That is company promotional language rather than an independent assessment.
