For most budget commuters, the soundcore Liberty 4 NC is the safer value buy. Its US listing combines Adaptive ANC 2.0, a claimed reduction of up to 98.5%, LDAC, Bluetooth multipoint, IPX4 protection and up to 50 hours with the case for a listed $99.99.

Choose the OPPO Enco Air4 Pro instead if you use a compatible OPPO or Android phone, want LHDC 5.0, prefer lighter earbuds, need the higher IP55 rating, or value longer playback from each earbud. OPPO’s maximum tested ANC depth and soundcore’s percentage-reduction claim use different methods, so neither number proves that one blocks more noise in every commute.

Quick verdict: Liberty 4 NC for value, Enco Air4 Pro for phone integration and single-charge endurance

These are affordable true-wireless earbuds aimed at the same broad audience, but their strengths differ. Liberty 4 NC is the more straightforward recommendation when you want a feature-heavy commuting set at a clearly published US price. Enco Air4 Pro makes more sense when its LHDC support, IP55 construction, low per-earbud weight or OPPO ecosystem features match your priorities.

What each model offers

OPPO Enco Air4 Pro

OPPO positions the Enco Air4 Pro as an ANC-focused pair with ultra-wide-frequency noise cancellation. Its published figures are a maximum tested ANC depth of 49 dB and a maximum tested frequency range of 4000 Hz. The earbuds use 12.4 mm dynamic drivers and support LHDC 5.0, AAC and SBC codecs over Bluetooth 5.4.

The hardware is rated IP55 for dust and water resistance, and OPPO lists each earbud at approximately 4.4 g. The product supports dual-device connectivity, although OPPO notes ColorOS and HeyMelody conditions for that feature. Those conditions matter if you want to move between a phone and a laptop or tablet, so check that your particular device and software combination supports the function.

soundcore Liberty 4 NC

Liberty 4 NC uses 11 mm drivers and Adaptive ANC 2.0. soundcore claims up to 98.5% noise reduction and includes LDAC alongside Hi-Res Wireless support. HearID 2.0 provides EQ personalization, while Bluetooth 5.3 multipoint is designed for two-device connections.

The earbuds carry an IPX4 water-resistance rating. The official US listing also specifies six microphones with AI call processing. That is a manufacturer specification, not a guarantee of clearer calls than OPPO in every street, train or office.

ANC numbers are not an apples-to-apples contest

ANC is the feature most likely to influence a commute, but the headline figures here describe different things. OPPO’s “up to 49 dB” is a maximum tested attenuation depth, paired with a 4000 Hz maximum tested frequency range. soundcore’s “up to 98.5%” is a maximum noise-reduction percentage.

  • Reduce Noise By Up to 98.5%: Liberty 4 NC noise cancelling earbuds have a high sensitivity in-ear sound sensor, an oversized driver, and an innovative noise isolation chamber that cancels up to 98.5% of noise for peaceful travel.
  • Noise Cancelling Adapts to Ears and Environments: Adaptive ANC 2.0 makes real-time calculations and adjusts to your ear canals and external environment for maximum quiet amongst the hustle and bustle.
  • Crisp Sound with 3× More Detail: 11mm custom-tuned drivers deliver consistently crisp and detailed sound. Experience Hi-Res wireless audio and LDAC technology that transfers 3× more data than regular Bluetooth—bringing wireless music to life.

  • Long-Lasting Battery Life: In normal mode, enjoy 10 hours of playback on a single charge or up to 50 hours with the case. With ANC on, get 8 hours between charges, extendable to 40 hours with the case.

A decibel figure and a percentage cannot be converted into a fair ranking without the test setup, frequency weighting, signal and fit conditions. A percentage claim may summarize reduction under a particular test protocol, while a depth figure describes attenuation at a measured point or set of conditions. Treat both as manufacturer maximums rather than as a promise that one will be quieter on every bus or airplane.

Why fit can matter more than the headline

OPPO explicitly says ANC results vary with ear shape, ear-tip size, fit and ambient noise. The same practical limits apply to any in-ear ANC design: a loose seal lets outside sound leak in, and low-frequency engine noise behaves differently from voices or high-frequency brake squeal. Try the supplied tips and check the seal before judging either model.

Liberty 4 NC’s Adaptive ANC 2.0 is presented as the value model’s central feature. Enco Air4 Pro’s published 49 dB and 4000 Hz figures indicate broad testing claims, but they do not establish superior isolation in a controlled comparison. For a daily commute, the best choice is the one that seals your ears comfortably and maintains that seal while you walk.

Battery life: one-charge convenience versus case endurance

The figures below come from the manufacturers’ stated modes. “Normal” and “ANC enabled” are not necessarily identical test conditions, so compare the rows within their stated mode rather than treating every number as a standardized laboratory result.

Model and mode Earbuds on one charge Total with case
OPPO Enco Air4 Pro, ANC off Up to 12 hours Up to 44 hours
OPPO Enco Air4 Pro, maximum ANC Up to 5.5 hours Up to 20 hours
soundcore Liberty 4 NC, normal mode Up to 10 hours Up to 50 hours
soundcore Liberty 4 NC, ANC enabled Up to 8 hours Up to 40 hours

If you spend long stretches away from the case

Enco Air4 Pro has the longer stated single-charge figure with ANC off: 12 hours versus Liberty 4 NC’s 10. That favors a long flight, a workday with no access to the case, or listeners who dislike interrupting playback.

If you recharge infrequently

Liberty 4 NC has the longer stated case endurance with ANC off: 50 hours versus 44. Its ANC-enabled total is also listed at 40 hours, twice OPPO’s 20-hour maximum-ANC figure. Actual runtime changes with volume, codec, call use and wireless conditions, so regard these as upper-limit claims.

Codecs, Bluetooth and phone compatibility

LHDC on OPPO Enco Air4 Pro

Enco Air4 Pro supports LHDC 5.0, AAC and SBC over Bluetooth 5.4. LHDC can be useful when the source phone supports it and the feature is enabled, but the earbuds cannot create a high-resolution stream from a source that lacks LHDC. AAC and SBC provide the fallback options.

Dual-device connectivity is listed for the OPPO pair, with ColorOS and HeyMelody conditions. If your phone is not an OPPO device, confirm that the required HeyMelody support and software behavior are available before buying on the assumption that every dual-device feature will work identically.

LDAC on Liberty 4 NC

Liberty 4 NC supports LDAC, Hi-Res Wireless and Bluetooth 5.3 multipoint. LDAC also requires a compatible source device and appropriate settings; simply owning an LDAC-capable earbud does not make every phone use that codec. Multipoint is the more universally practical feature for people who alternate between a phone and computer, provided both devices and the active firmware support the connection.

Codec support does not by itself determine whether one pair sounds better. Driver tuning, seal, volume and the recording all contribute, and no independent listening comparison is established here.

Durability, weight and everyday handling

OPPO lists an IP55 rating, while Liberty 4 NC is rated IPX4. The OPPO rating includes a stated dust-resistance level as well as water resistance; the Liberty rating states water resistance but does not provide a dust-resistance number. Neither rating turns the earbuds into swimming equipment, and charging contacts should be kept dry before placing the earbuds in their case.

At approximately 4.4 g per earbud, Enco Air4 Pro has a clearly published light weight. The comparable Liberty 4 NC earbud weight is not stated in the available specification, so there is no sound basis for calling one physically lighter beyond OPPO’s figure.

Comfort remains individual. Ear canal shape, tip size, pressure and movement can outweigh a few grams on a specification sheet. There is no independent fit test establishing a universal comfort winner.

Sound and calls: what the specifications do and do not prove

Music playback

Enco Air4 Pro uses 12.4 mm dynamic drivers; Liberty 4 NC uses 11 mm drivers. Driver diameter alone does not predict bass quality, vocal detail or treble balance. OPPO’s LHDC 5.0 and soundcore’s LDAC can preserve more data on compatible devices, but the listening result still depends on the phone, codec settings and fit.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Voice calls

Liberty 4 NC specifies six microphones with AI call processing. OPPO also describes multi-microphone AI call processing, but the available specification does not state an equivalent microphone count. Both are manufacturer claims. Wind, traffic, microphone placement and the phone’s call processing can be decisive, and no independent head-to-head call test establishes a winner.

Price and availability

The soundcore US listing gives Liberty 4 NC a $99.99 USD list price. That is a US storefront figure and can change with promotions, stock and region.

OPPO’s cited specification pages do not state a price for Enco Air4 Pro. Availability and pricing vary by market, so compare the current local listing, warranty terms and included accessories rather than converting the US Liberty figure into a worldwide price comparison.

Which should you buy?

Choose soundcore Liberty 4 NC when

  • You want a clearly published US price around $100 and a strong set of commuting features at that price.
  • Total battery endurance matters more than the longest single charge: the stated case figure is 50 hours in normal mode and 40 hours with ANC enabled.
  • Your phone supports LDAC and you want Bluetooth multipoint for switching between two devices.
  • You prefer an adaptive ANC feature and HearID 2.0 EQ personalization, while accepting IPX4 rather than IP55 protection.

Choose OPPO Enco Air4 Pro when

  • You use a compatible OPPO or Android setup and specifically want LHDC 5.0.
  • You value the longer stated single-charge playback with ANC off: up to 12 hours.
  • You want the published IP55 rating and approximately 4.4 g per earbud.
  • You need dual-device connectivity and your ColorOS or HeyMelody combination meets OPPO’s conditions.

When neither specification settles the decision

  • If your main concern is airplane or train isolation, do not select solely from 49 dB versus 98.5%; the metrics are different and fit is critical.
  • If you need consistently excellent calls in wind, seek an independent microphone test for your target phone and environment.
  • If comfort is decisive, buy from a seller with a suitable return policy because no published specification can predict your ear seal.
  • If high-resolution audio is the goal, verify codec support on the exact phone, operating-system version and music service you use.

A practical setup checklist for commuting

  1. Start with the ear-tip size that seals the canal without creating painful pressure. Test both earbuds while walking, because movement can break a seal that seems fine while seated.
  2. Pair the earbuds with the phone you will actually use for commuting. Confirm that the desired codec—LHDC 5.0 for OPPO or LDAC for Liberty—is available on that phone before expecting high-resolution playback.
  3. Enable the model’s ANC mode and listen in the place where you normally travel. Compare speech, wheel noise and engine rumble separately; one setting may not suppress every frequency equally.
  4. If you use two devices, test the handoff before leaving home. Enco Air4 Pro dual-device behavior depends on OPPO’s ColorOS and HeyMelody conditions; Liberty 4 NC uses Bluetooth multipoint.
  5. Keep the earbuds and charging contacts dry. IP55 or IPX4 protection does not remove the need to dry moisture before charging.
  6. Record your real battery pattern for a few trips. Volume, calls, codec choice and ANC use can reduce the advertised maximums.

Important limits of this comparison

The published specifications establish feature lists and maximum claims, not a universal performance ranking. There is no independent head-to-head laboratory or hands-on test establishing which pair has better sound, comfort, microphone quality or real-world ANC. OPPO’s ANC figures and soundcore’s reduction percentage should therefore be read as separate manufacturer measurements.

Prices, stock, regional codec support, warranty coverage and app behavior can change. Recheck the local product page and the compatibility details for your phone before purchase, especially if LHDC, LDAC or dual-device operation is the reason you are choosing one model.
