The standard realme 16 5G and OPPO A6 Pro CPH2799 share a 6.57-inch FHD+ 120 Hz AMOLED display and the same listed battery capacity, but they differ in network support, selfie-camera resolution, chipset and charging rating. The crucial model caveat: the cited OPPO CPH2799 is a non-5G model; OPPO also sells a different A6 Pro 5G, CPH2781. No verified, like-for-like current price pair establishes which costs more, so compare local listings for the same storage tier before judging the price difference.
Which exact phones are being compared?
This comparison uses OPPO’s Global specifications for the A6 Pro CPH2799 and realme’s India specifications for the standard realme 16 5G. They are not universal configurations: availability, bands and included accessories can vary by market.

- OPPO A6 Pro CPH2799: the cited Global specification page lists a MediaTek Helio G100 and does not list 5G.
- OPPO A6 Pro 5G CPH2781: a separate model with a Dimensity 6300 and 5G support. Its specifications should not be substituted for the CPH2799.
- realme 16 5G: the cited India model, not the realme 16 Pro or Pro+. The Pro models have different hardware.
The official pages are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance or endurance tests. The listed details below are from OPPO Global and realme India pages accessed October 7, 2026; both manufacturers caution that specifications or package contents may vary.

How do the displays and performance compare?
Display
Both pages list the same screen size, resolution and maximum refresh rate, along with 1,400-nit typical HBM brightness. realme additionally lists a 4,200-nit peak figure. Because the pages use different brightness labels and conditions, those numbers should not be treated as a direct like-for-like brightness test.
Chipset and memory
The phones use different named chipsets: Helio G100 in the cited OPPO model and Dimensity 6400 Turbo in the cited realme. No independent benchmark or head-to-head speed test is established here, so the chip names alone do not prove which phone is faster for a buyer’s apps or games. The realme India page lists an extra 12 GB + 256 GB configuration; check local stock and compare matching RAM and storage tiers.

Which phone has the better cameras?
On paper, both have a 50 MP main rear camera paired with a 2 MP monochrome camera. The realme page lists a 50 MP front camera, compared with 16 MP on the OPPO. That gives realme the higher stated selfie-camera resolution, but megapixels alone do not establish detail, color, low-light results or overall image quality; no independent camera comparison is available here.

Both manufacturers list a 7,000 mAh typical capacity and 6,830 mAh rated capacity. OPPO specifies up to 80 W SUPERVOOC charging, while realme lists 60 W fast charging. These are manufacturer ratings, not measured charging-time results. No independent endurance test establishes which lasts longer in use.

realme also claims “1,600 Charge Recycles” and “6-Year Battery Health” on its India product page; those are manufacturer claims rather than independent validation. realme India product page.
Does the OPPO A6 Pro support 5G, and what should buyers check?
The answer depends on the model number. The CPH2799 discussed here is the non-5G version on OPPO’s cited Global specification page. The distinct A6 Pro 5G CPH2781 lists 5G and a Dimensity 6300, so do not assume an A6 Pro listing has the same connectivity or hardware without confirming its SKU. OPPO A6 Pro 5G CPH2781 specifications.

The cited realme 16 5G page lists India-market bands; that does not establish compatibility in every country. Before buying either model, match the exact SKU’s supported bands to the carrier and country where it will be used. OPPO also notes that live network functions depend on the carrier’s network and service deployment. The realme India page says NFC is unsupported, while the cited OPPO page lists NFC.

What is the price difference?
No verified, current, like-for-like price pair is established for these phones. A third-party comparison listing displayed rupee prices but did not establish current checkout prices for matching configurations, so it cannot support a reliable price gap. Prices vary by market, storage tier, seller and promotion.

For a fair comparison, check the same day and country, match RAM and storage where possible, and record the seller, currency and whether each figure is a regular price or a promotion. If one listing is for the A6 Pro 5G CPH2781 and the other for CPH2799, compare them as different models rather than treating their prices as interchangeable.
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the realme 16 5G if 5G support in the cited model, a higher listed selfie-camera resolution or the India-page 12 GB + 256 GB option fits your needs. Confirm local bands and configuration availability.
- Consider the OPPO A6 Pro CPH2799 if its listed NFC support or up-to-80 W charging rating matters more to you, and you do not need 5G from this specific model. Verify the exact SKU in your market.
- Do not choose on battery capacity alone: the two cited pages list the same typical and rated figures. Neither page establishes a tested battery-life or charging-time advantage.
Both cited pages list a charger, cable, case and SIM ejector tool, but package contents may vary by market. Check the local product listing to see what is actually included before purchasing accessories.
