Hindustan Times reports that Verma shared a series of photographs on Instagram, including images with Alka Ahuja, widow of Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja, as well as other people connected with the story. Amar Ujala’s Hindi-language report corroborates the central account of the actors’ attendance and photo-sharing.
What Abhay Verma said about meeting the veterans
Hindustan Times reproduced a statement it attributed to Verma’s Instagram post: “As civilians, to be allowed to share the occasion of 75 years of Sqn 17 Golden Arrows with the Bravehearts and their braver families is an incredible honour.” The outlet also reported his caption: “THE OG’s – Tony sir, Kamal mam & Alka mam. Thank you blessing us.” These are quotations as reported by Hindustan Times; the original social-media post was not independently authenticated.

How the actors are connected to Operation Safed Sagar
Hindustan Times identifies Siddharth as the actor who portrayed Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja and Verma as the actor who portrayed Flying Officer R.S. Dhaliwal in Operation Safed Sagar. It reports that the series premiered on Netflix on August 7, 2026. That context links the actors’ roles in the series with their reported meeting with veterans and families at the anniversary.
