Those figures describe a proposed round and amounts discussed, not completed investments. Bloomberg said fundraising was ongoing and details could change. Its account relied on people familiar with the matter, rather than a public announcement of final terms.

Who has confirmed participation?
The report identified MGX and other, unnamed UAE funds as prospective participants, and BlackRock as a possible participant in discussions. It did not establish a final investor list, individual allocations, a completed closing or definitive terms. OpenAI and BlackRock declined to comment to Bloomberg; MGX representatives did not respond outside normal business hours. Those responses do not confirm the talks or an investment.
How this differs from OpenAI’s February 2026 financing
The October talks are separate from the earlier financing commitments reported by The Associated Press on February 27, 2026. AP said OpenAI had received $110 billion in funding commitments from Amazon, SoftBank and Nvidia, at a reported pre-money valuation of $730 billion. Amazon’s commitment was $50 billion, subject to preset conditions and with an initial $15 billion tranche; Nvidia and SoftBank each committed $30 billion, according to AP.
