OnlyHands is an announced, music-artist-centered one-on-one fighting game from Nothing Projects Interactive and Republic Records. It is still in development, with an initial release planned for 2027 on iOS and Android. Metro Boomin is not merely the game’s promotional face: he is a playable fighter, an executive producer and the cover artist for Season 01.
What OnlyHands is—and what it is not
OnlyHands is designed around real-time 1v1 fights between playable music artists. Its announced identity combines conventional fighting-game fundamentals—spacing, timing and player skill—with character-specific presentation. Each artist is expected to have an original visual identity, fighting style, move set, music and storyline, according to the Comic Crusaders report from the game’s New York Comic Con presentation.

That combination makes OnlyHands different from a game that simply borrows an artist’s song or likeness. The announced concept treats each performer as a complete fighting-game character whose moves, music and story are tied to that artist.
How Metro’s reported combat mechanic works
Pocket Gamer’s October 16, 2026 report describes a Metro-specific “compression” meter. As the meter fills, the crowd becomes quieter and the camera moves closer to the action. Metro’s recovery slows, making his openings easier for an opponent to punish.
The mechanic is notable because it does not simply trigger a conventional final “rage” state. Instead, the fight remains governed by Metro’s pace, with the changing audio, camera distance and recovery timing altering how players read opportunities. The available report does not establish the meter’s exact values, charge conditions, duration or whether players can counter it through a particular input.

What was shown at the New York Comic Con premiere?
The world premiere took place at New York Comic Con in October 2026. Comic Crusaders reported that the presentation included gameplay, an official trailer and a fight sequence featuring Boosie Badazz against Kodak Black. That footage establishes the project’s direction and presentation, but it does not document final performance, network conditions, monetization or the full mobile control scheme.

Touch controls and responsiveness
One-on-one combat depends on precise timing. Players will need to know whether attacks, blocks, movement and special moves register reliably on ordinary phone screens, and whether latency or touch ambiguity affects competitive play.

Distinct character design
The artist-centered format only matters if fighters feel meaningfully different. Compare each character’s strengths, weaknesses, move properties and resource systems rather than judging them only by animations or soundtrack choices.
Roster depth and update cadence
A promise of more than 20 fighters creates expectations for variety. The important follow-up will be how many are available at launch, how new artists are added and whether updates preserve balance.
Fair monetization
No price or business model has been announced. Players should look for whether fighters, competitive tools or power advantages are sold separately, and whether free players can access a fair competitive rule set.
Music and story integration
