Start by checking whether the broadcast is saved in OneStream and whether YouTube has an event for it: open OneStream’s Streams section, then check YouTube Studio under Content → Live. If it exists in both places, its privacy setting and scheduled time may explain why viewers cannot find it. The title alone cannot identify which step failed.
1. Confirm OneStream saved the scheduled stream
- Open the OneStream dashboard and select Streams. OneStream says upcoming streams appear in this section. Its instructions, last updated September 21, 2026, describe reviewing or editing the stream’s content, stream details, broadcast details, and schedule. OneStream: how to watch or edit scheduled streams.
- If the stream is not listed, return to the scheduling flow and complete its final schedule action. Check that the selected video, broadcast details, and date and time are correct.
- If it is listed, open its edit flow and verify those details. A saved OneStream record confirms the schedule exists there; it does not by itself confirm that viewers can see a YouTube event.
2. Verify the connected YouTube account and destination
Confirm that OneStream is connected to the YouTube account for the channel where you expect the broadcast. OneStream’s YouTube connection instructions, last updated August 18, 2026, say to connect the intended account from Social Platforms. In the scheduling flow, check that you selected the intended YouTube destination rather than another connected account or platform.

These are separate paths. If you intended to attach the broadcast to an event already created in YouTube, confirm that you selected that event in OneStream rather than scheduling a new one.

OneStream’s existing-event instructions, last updated September 15, 2026, describe this selection and review process: OneStream: schedule a pre-recorded video to an existing YouTube event.
4. Look for the event in YouTube Studio
In YouTube Studio, open Content → Live and inspect current and upcoming streams. This is the key comparison: if the event is in OneStream’s Streams list but not in YouTube Studio’s Live tab, recheck the destination account and whether the correct event path was used. If it appears in YouTube Studio, the event exists on YouTube; its visibility setting or timing may be why it is not showing where you expected.

YouTube Help says, “When you schedule your stream for later, it may show up in your subscribers feed as upcoming.” The word “may” matters: appearance in subscribers’ feeds is not guaranteed. Check the event in Studio rather than treating its absence from a feed or another discovery surface as proof that it was never scheduled. YouTube Help: Manage live stream settings.
5. Check privacy and test the direct link
Review the event’s visibility in YouTube Studio. YouTube’s visibility rules affect who can find it:

- HDMI 2.1 cable required (sold separately)

- Up to 4K HDR with Dolby Vision delivers captivating, true-to-life detail[4]; and you can connect speakers that support Dolby Atmos for more immersive 3D sound
- Public: The event can be publicly discoverable, subject to YouTube’s surfaces and recommendations; scheduling does not guarantee placement in every feed.
- Unlisted: It does not appear in YouTube search or the channel’s Videos tab, but anyone with the link can view it.
- Private: It does not appear in search or on the channel homepage. Access is restricted rather than publicly discoverable.
If a viewer says the stream is missing, send or open the direct watch link. If the link works but the event is absent from search or channel browsing, check whether it is unlisted or private before concluding the event does not exist. See YouTube Help: change video privacy settings.
6. Check the date, time, and live-stream eligibility
Confirm the scheduled date and time in both OneStream’s record and YouTube Studio, including the time zone shown in the interface. A time mismatch can make an event seem missing when you are looking for it at the wrong time. If the event cannot be created or launched, check YouTube’s live-streaming prerequisites: YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. This is an eligibility check, not evidence that your channel has a restriction. YouTube Help: get started with live streaming.
