The right choice depends on which features matter most and on the live price for the exact variant you plan to buy.

Display: AMOLED resolution or a higher refresh rate?
Redmi: larger and higher-resolution AMOLED
Xiaomi specifies a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is the larger screen and has the higher stated resolution of the two, making the Redmi the more feature-rich display choice on those measures. Xiaomi also lists a 3500-nit peak-brightness claim; treat that as a manufacturer figure, not a promise of sustained brightness across the whole display or in every condition.
OnePlus: 144Hz LCD
91mobiles lists the Nord CE 6 Lite with a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD and a 144Hz refresh rate. That is a higher stated refresh rate than the Redmi’s up-to-120Hz figure, but the panel is LCD rather than AMOLED and has a lower listed resolution. Refresh rate alone does not establish which display looks better; consider panel type, size, resolution and the content you view.

Battery and charging
The Redmi has the larger stated battery: Xiaomi lists 9000mAh typical capacity, compared with OnePlus’s 7000mAh. Xiaomi rates the Redmi for 67W charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging; OnePlus lists 45W SUPERVOOC for the Nord CE 6 Lite. These are manufacturer specifications, not a direct charging-time comparison. Actual charging speed and endurance depend on use and conditions, and Xiaomi’s “3.5+ days” battery-duration statement is an internal-lab, light-use claim rather than a universal expectation.

Both phones list a 50MP main rear camera. Xiaomi specifies optical image stabilisation (OIS) on the Redmi’s main camera and adds an 8MP ultrawide, giving it more explicitly listed rear-camera versatility. OnePlus advertises 4K video and 4K Motion Photos for the Nord CE 6 Lite. The listed front cameras are 8MP on the OnePlus and 16MP on the Redmi, according to 91mobiles and Xiaomi’s listing for the latter.

Storage and software support
Choose OnePlus if microSD expansion matters
The Nord CE 6 Lite is listed with 128GB and 256GB storage options, plus microSD expansion up to 2TB. OnePlus says the card shares a SIM slot, so using a card may affect how you configure that slot. The Redmi is listed in 128GB and 256GB versions; the 128GB version uses UFS 2.2 storage, while the 256GB version uses UFS 3.1. Confirm the exact regional configuration before buying. The available specifications do not establish whether Redmi storage expansion is absent in every market, so do not assume that without checking the variant.

Xiaomi publishes a longer update schedule
The Redmi runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, and Xiaomi states four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. The Nord CE 6 Lite is listed with OxygenOS 16. 91mobiles lists shorter support figures for the OnePlus, but those figures are not confirmed here as OnePlus’s official policy. If update duration is decisive, verify the current policy for the exact model and market before purchasing.
Durability claims
OnePlus says the Nord CE 6 Lite has IP64 dust and splash resistance. Xiaomi lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for the Redmi. These are manufacturer-stated ratings, not assurances that either phone is damage-proof; the meaning and limits of a rating depend on the tested conditions. Check each manufacturer’s terms and warranty for the specific model and market.
