On the comparison pages, the Nord CE 6 Lite 5G is listed at ₹28,999 and the Redmi 17 5G at ₹23,999, a displayed gap of ₹5,000. These are volatile retailer-linked listings, not fixed official prices, and they were observed on 4 October 2026. Nine days later, they may already have moved.

What the gap does not yet prove
- Storage and RAM variants may differ. A price gap is only a fair comparison if both phones are listed at the same memory configuration. Check that before drawing any conclusion.
- Offers change the effective price. Bank discounts, exchange offers and seller promotions can narrow or widen the gap on a given day.
- Price alone does not determine value. A ₹5,000 difference is meaningful only if the features you care about are similar. Here, the two phones differ in battery, display and chipset, and the OnePlus side of several specs is not stated in the sources reviewed.
How the Nord’s listed price compares with OnePlus’s launch positioning
OnePlus’s India product page says the Nord CE 6 Lite 5G’s price was accurate at launch within the ₹20,000–₹25,000 segment, based on data as of 7 May 2026. The observed ₹28,999 listing sits above that range. That may reflect a higher-memory variant, a later price change, or a listing difference on the comparison sites. The sources do not establish which, so treat the launch segment as a launch reference only, not as the phone’s current price.
Battery, charging and display
The Redmi 17 5G has the stronger headline figures in these three areas, but all of them are manufacturer specifications. Xiaomi’s numbers describe the hardware it has designed. They do not measure how long the phone lasts in your hands or how fast it charges in practice.

Battery capacity
The Redmi’s 7900mAh figure is a typical value listed by Xiaomi. It is not a measured endurance result. Real-world battery life depends on screen brightness, refresh-rate settings, network conditions and workload. No battery test is available for the OnePlus in the sources reviewed, so a direct battery comparison cannot be made.

Xiaomi lists 45W Turbo Charging for the Redmi 17 5G. Charging speed depends on the charger and cable you use, so the figure applies only when you use a compatible 45W setup. The OnePlus charging specification is not stated in the sources reviewed.

Display
The Redmi’s display is larger than most phones in this price band, but HD+ is a lower resolution than Full HD+. Adaptive refresh up to 120Hz means the panel can change its refresh rate depending on content, which can save power, but the claim has not been independently measured. OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite 5G: MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex
The comparison listings associate the Nord CE 6 Lite 5G with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex. Whether that platform is faster, smoother or cooler than the Redmi’s chipset under your usage depends on tests that have not been collected here.
Xiaomi Redmi 17 5G: Snapdragon 4 Gen 5

Camera: 50MP on paper, not a photo-quality verdict
Xiaomi lists a 50MP AI dual camera system for the Redmi 17 5G. Megapixel count describes the sensor’s resolution, not the quality of photos. Lens design, sensor size, processing and low-light behaviour matter more, and none of them has been independently tested here. The OnePlus camera specifications are not stated in the sources reviewed, so no camera comparison can be made.
Software support: a claim for one side only
Xiaomi’s official page for the Redmi 17 5G states HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, with four years of OS updates and six years of security updates.
