On the official India specifications, the OnePlus Nord CE 5 has the larger stated battery (7,100 mAh against 6,000 mAh typical for the Galaxy M47 5G) and the larger display. Samsung makes the firmer software promise: six OS upgrades and six years of security updates from the phone’s first global launch. Neither company’s official material gives a comparable current selling price for the Galaxy M47 5G, so a price difference cannot be stated yet. Everything below is manufacturer-stated data as of 7 October 2026. No independent benchmark, camera or battery test is cited.
Confirm you are comparing the right OnePlus phone
OnePlus India currently lists the phone as OnePlus Nord CE 5. A separate official page for the OnePlus Nord CE 5G describes an older, different phone with a 6.43-inch 90 Hz Fluid AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 750G processor and a 4,500 mAh battery. If a listing or article gives those figures under the Nord CE 5 name, it is describing the older model. This article uses the manufacturer’s current name and does not combine the two spec sheets.

Specifications side by side
The table uses each company’s India product page. Where a page does not state a value, the cell says so rather than filling it in from another source.
| Axis | OnePlus Nord CE 5 | Samsung Galaxy M47 5G | What the figure does and does not tell you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Processor | MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex | Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3; Samsung lists CPU speeds of 2.4 GHz and 1.8 GHz (octa-core) | Chip names alone do not establish which phone runs faster or more efficiently. |
| Display | 6.77-inch AMOLED, 120 Hz; Ultra HDR stated | 16.91 cm full rectangle (about 6.66 inches), FHD+, Super AMOLED, 120 Hz | The two companies measure differently. Samsung notes the rounded-corner viewable area is smaller than the full rectangle. |
| Battery | 7,100 mAh | 6,000 mAh typical; minimum rated 5,882 mAh | These are rated capacities, not tested battery life. |
| Charging | Fast charging promoted; wattage not stated on the OnePlus India page reviewed | 45 W fast charging; charger sold separately | Charger inclusion and OnePlus charging speed are not confirmed by the pages reviewed. |
| Rear cameras | 50 MP Sony sensor with OIS, plus 8 MP ultra-wide; 4K at 60 fps video promoted | 50 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP with OIS; 4K at 30 fps listed on the 8 GB/128 GB page | Megapixel counts do not determine image quality. |
| Front camera | Not stated on the OnePlus page reviewed | 12 MP; no autofocus listed on the 6 GB variant page | Check the OnePlus specification page for your exact configuration. |
| Memory | Up to 12 GB RAM highlighted; full list of configurations not stated | 6 GB or 8 GB RAM; 128 GB or 256 GB storage | Confirm which variants are sold in your market. |
| Expandable storage | Not stated on the OnePlus page reviewed | microSD up to 2 TB, listed on the 8 GB/128 GB page | Samsung’s figure applies to that page’s configuration. |
| Software support | Duration not stated on the OnePlus page reviewed | Six OS upgrade generations and six years of security updates from first global launch; security updates listed through 31 July 2032 | Samsung’s commitment is written; OnePlus’s exact-model policy needs checking before any comparison. |
| Starting price | From ₹24,999 on OnePlus India | No current selling price on the official page | Prices change; see the price section below. |
Display and processor
The Nord CE 5 has the larger panel on paper, at 6.77 inches against roughly 6.66 inches for the Galaxy M47 5G, and both list a 120 Hz refresh rate. Because the two companies measure their displays differently, the gap is smaller than the raw numbers suggest. The processors are a different matter. OnePlus uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 Apex and Samsung uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. Manufacturer chip names and clock speeds do not show which phone will feel faster in daily use. That needs independent testing, which these pages do not provide.
#1 Best Overall
- Large 5000mAh Battery: Provides long-lasting power for all-day use
- 6.49 Inch Full HD+ Display: Features a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and vivid visuals
- Octa-Core Processor: Runs at lightning-fast speeds for seamless multitasking
- Triple Camera System: Includes 13MP main, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth lenses for crisp, detailed photos
- 5G Capable: Connects to the fastest network speeds for lightning-fast downloads and streaming
Battery and charging
On rated capacity, the Nord CE 5’s 7,100 mAh is about 18 percent larger than the Galaxy M47 5G’s 6,000 mAh typical figure. The gap is narrower if you use Samsung’s 5,882 mAh minimum, but it is still in OnePlus’s favour. Capacity is only one input to endurance, though. Screen size, chipset efficiency, network signal and how you use the phone all change how long a charge lasts, and none of those are tested in the official material.
Charging is where the two pages diverge in what they publish. Samsung states 45 W fast charging and says the charger is sold separately. OnePlus promotes fast charging but the page reviewed does not state a wattage. Do not assume a charger is in the box with either phone until you check the listing for your market.

Cameras
Both phones use a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilisation. The OnePlus Nord CE 5 pairs its 50 MP Sony sensor with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens. The Galaxy M47 5G adds a 5 MP and a 2 MP lens to its main camera, and has a 12 MP front camera. The OnePlus front camera is not stated on the page reviewed. Lens count and megapixels describe hardware, not results. Colour processing, low-light performance and video stabilisation vary between phones with identical sensor specs. No independent image comparison is part of the evidence here, so this article makes no camera ranking.
Software support
Samsung’s India product information for the Galaxy M47 5G states: “Galaxy M47 5G will be supported with six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates from the first global launch date.” Samsung adds that its policies are subject to change, and the security update period is listed through 31 July 2032. OnePlus’s India page for the Nord CE 5 does not state a comparable duration. Until you find OnePlus’s written update policy for this exact model and region, do not treat either company as the clear winner on support.

Price difference: what can and cannot be said
OnePlus India lists the Nord CE 5 from ₹24,999. Samsung’s official Galaxy M47 5G page shows configurations and specifications but no current selling price, so no price gap is stated in this article. Third-party snippets, older launch prices and mismatched configurations are not reliable for this. To compare prices yourself:
- Pick one memory and storage combination, for example 8 GB RAM with 128 GB storage, and use it for both phones.
- Check the OnePlus India store and the Samsung India store on the same day.
- Record whether each figure is a launch MRP, a manufacturer-store price or a seller offer, and note any bank or exchange discounts.
- Compare the final price including any bundled charger or accessories, since one phone may include a charger and the other may not.
Which one fits your priorities
- Choose the Nord CE 5 if a larger stated battery and larger display matter most to you, and its price is competitive for the configuration you want.
- Choose the Galaxy M47 5G if a written six-year security commitment, expandable storage and a 45 W charging figure matter more, and you accept that its charger is sold separately.
- Check before you buy: the exact memory and storage variant, the current price on the same day, the OnePlus update policy for this model and warranty terms in your region.
The official pages do not show that either phone is better overall. They show a trade-off between battery and display on one side, and documented software support and storage expansion on the other.
