Does the newer CE 5 have better performance?
The chipsets differ: the CE 4 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the CE 5 is listed with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 Apex. 91mobiles reports higher benchmark scores for the CE 5 in its comparison. Those are results reported by that source, not a guarantee that every app, game, or daily task will feel faster; performance also depends on the task and the particular configuration.

Both phones are listed with AMOLED displays and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The CE 5’s listed screen is slightly larger at 6.77 inches, compared with 6.7 inches on the CE 4; their listed resolutions are 1080 × 2392 and 1080 × 2412 respectively.
The comparison lists the same headline camera setup on both: a 50 MP main rear camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide rear camera, and a 16 MP front camera. Matching megapixel counts do not establish equal image quality. The checked specifications do not provide independently tested photo or video results that settle which model takes better pictures.
Which battery figure should you trust for the CE 5?
The available listings do not establish one universal CE 5 battery capacity. India-oriented comparison pages list 7,100 mAh, while TechRadar’s review of the UK model lists 5,200 mAh. The discrepancy is unresolved here, so check the exact regional model rather than assuming one number applies worldwide. The CE 4 is listed at 5,500 mAh in the comparison pages.
For wired charging, 91mobiles lists 100W SuperVOOC for the CE 4 and 80W SuperVOOC for the CE 5. Battery capacity and charging wattage alone do not establish real-world endurance or how long a charge takes under a particular set of conditions.
