Nord 5: bigger and faster-refreshing
The comparison lists the Nord 5’s screen at 6.83 inches and 144 Hz, compared with 6.59 inches and 120 Hz on the V70. On those figures, the Nord gives more screen area and a higher maximum refresh rate; the V70 is the more compact option. Refresh rate alone does not establish overall display quality, and the figures come from the third-party comparison rather than independent verification of both manufacturers’ full specifications.
Chipsets and benchmark results
91mobiles lists the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 for the Nord 5 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 for the V70. Its reported results are close in AnTuTu but favor the Nord 5 in Geekbench multi-core:

Camera differences: telephoto is the V70’s defining extra
The Nord 5 is listed with a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide. The V70 adds a 50 MP telephoto camera to its listed 50 MP main and 8 MP ultra-wide setup. That dedicated telephoto lens is the most consequential hardware distinction if you want to frame distant subjects without relying only on digital cropping.
vivo describes the V70’s cameras as a 50 MP ZEISS main camera with OIS, a 50 MP ZEISS Night Telephoto Camera with 3× optical zoom, and a 50 MP selfie camera. Those are manufacturer-stated features, not independent findings about image quality. The cited comparison does not establish that megapixel counts alone translate into better photos.

Battery life and charging

91mobiles lists Android 15 for the Nord 5 and Android 16 for the V70, and gives both four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. These versions and the Nord 5 policy are comparison-page data and may not reflect later software updates; the Nord 5’s terms were not independently verified on an official OnePlus page here.
For the V70, vivo’s India product page states: “Up to 4 OS generations and 6 years of security updates.” The wording is a manufacturer policy claim, not a guarantee that every device will receive an update on a particular date.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the OnePlus Nord 5 if
- You prefer a larger screen and the higher listed refresh rate.

- The same-configuration price you find is meaningfully lower than the V70’s.
