The OnePlus Nord 5 is the spec-led pick for a sharper, faster-refresh display, a more powerful listed chipset and a larger stated battery. The vivo V60 costs more in the price snapshot below, but adds a dedicated telephoto camera, higher stated wired-charging wattage and an officially stated IP68/IP69 rating. Neither specification sheet proves which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in everyday use.

Which phone has the better performance and display?
Nord 5: stronger listed processor and sharper, faster-refresh screen
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in the Nord 5 is the more performance-oriented listed platform against the V60’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Its 2800 × 1272 resolution and up-to-144 Hz refresh rate also exceed the V60’s comparison-page listing of 2392 × 1080 at 120 Hz. Those differences make the Nord 5 the more compelling spec-sheet choice for demanding apps, games and a high-refresh display, but they do not guarantee a particular experience in every app or game.

Benchmarks are not a substitute for everyday testing
The 91mobiles comparison page reports AnTuTu scores of 1,481,616 for the Nord 5 and 1,006,885 for the V60. It also reports PCMark battery results of 11 hours 50 minutes and 12 hours 42 minutes, respectively. These are results reported by that comparison page, not independently verified side-by-side tests; benchmark scores and test battery runtimes should not be read as promises of daily speed or endurance.

Which phone has the more versatile camera hardware?
V60 adds a dedicated telephoto camera
The V60’s rear setup includes a 50 MP ZEISS OIS super-telephoto camera alongside its 50 MP ZEISS OIS main camera and 8 MP ultra-wide. The comparison listing for the Nord 5 gives it a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide, with no dedicated telephoto listed. If you often want a separate telephoto perspective, the V60 has the clearer hardware advantage.
Megapixel counts do not settle photo quality
Both phones list 50 MP front cameras, and the V60’s front camera is described as a ZEISS group selfie camera. Megapixels and camera labels alone do not establish which phone produces better images. The available evidence supports comparing camera options, not declaring a photo-quality winner.

Battery capacity versus charging wattage
OnePlus lists a 6,800 mAh battery and 80 W charging for the Nord 5. vivo lists the V60 at 6,500 mAh typical capacity (6,330 mAh rated) and up to 90 W charging. The Nord 5 therefore has the larger stated capacity, while the V60 has the higher stated charging wattage. vivo says its charging data is based on laboratory testing and may differ in real use; capacity and wattage alone do not establish which phone lasts longer or how quickly it will charge in your conditions. See vivo’s battery and charging conditions.
What the V60’s IP68/IP69 rating does—and does not—mean
vivo states that the V60 was tested and certified for IP68 and IP69 under IEC 60529:2013 conditions. For its IP68 test, vivo specifies static fresh water at 1.5 metres for 120 minutes. The company also cautions that resistance is not permanent, advises against everyday immersion, and says liquid-immersion damage is not covered by warranty. Treat the rating as a defined manufacturer claim, not permission to expose the phone to water routinely. The cited comparison does not establish a matched official durability rating for the Nord 5, so this is not evidence that it has none. Details are on vivo’s V60 IP rating page.

Software support: what is officially stated?
OnePlus states that the Nord 5 will receive four Android version upgrades and six years of security updates. The comparison page lists four years of support and six years of security updates for the V60, but the available official vivo material does not confirm that policy. For a long-term purchase, verify the V60’s current support commitment directly with vivo rather than treating the comparison-page entry as an official promise.
How much cheaper was the Nord 5 in the listed India prices?
The 91mobiles comparison page displayed ₹31,999 for the Nord 5 and ₹36,999 for the vivo V60, a ₹5,000 difference in the Nord 5’s favor. Those figures are a snapshot accessed in 2026, not a live price guarantee, and may not represent matching RAM/storage variants. Before buying, check the exact variant, seller, stock, current offer, and whether any bank discount is already reflected in the price.
Which phone should you buy?
Choose the OnePlus Nord 5 if
- You prioritize the stronger listed chipset and the higher-resolution, higher-refresh display.
- You want the larger stated battery capacity.
- The lower price in the cited comparison snapshot matters, after checking today’s like-for-like listings.
Choose the vivo V60 if
- A dedicated telephoto camera matters more than having only main and ultra-wide cameras listed.
- You prefer its higher stated charging wattage.
- The manufacturer’s published IP68/IP69 rating is important, with its test limits and warranty caveat understood.
There is no evidence here for an unconditional winner: choose based on which hardware difference affects your use, and verify current prices and the V60’s software-support policy before paying.
