How the displays differ
The Nord 5 has a slightly larger listed screen and a higher 144Hz refresh rate, compared with 120Hz on the GT 7T. A higher refresh rate can make supported scrolling and animations appear smoother, but the benefit depends on the app and display settings.
realme advertises a local peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits under 100,000 lux in a manufacturer test. That is a controlled-condition local peak figure, not a promise that the whole screen will sustain that brightness in ordinary use. realme cautions that results can vary with test environments and calculation methods.

Performance, storage and battery
Chipset and storage
The Nord 5 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the GT 7T uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400-MAX. The GT 7T also lists UFS 4.0 storage, versus UFS 3.1 in the Nord 5. Those platform and storage differences are useful for comparing hardware, but they do not establish that one phone will be faster for every game, app or everyday task.
91mobiles displayed AnTuTu results of 1,481,616 for the Nord 5 and 1,761,804 for the GT 7T when accessed on October 5, 2026. These are that publisher’s benchmark figures, not guaranteed results for every unit or workload. A benchmark score alone is not a reliable measure of the full user experience.
Battery capacity and charging
The GT 7T has the larger stated battery and higher rated charging power. realme specifies 7,000mAh typical capacity and 6,850mAh rated capacity, describing each as a dual-cell total; its wired charging rating is 120W. OnePlus lists 6,800mAh and 80W for the Nord 5. Capacity and charging ratings do not by themselves determine how long a phone lasts or how quickly it charges in a particular situation.

India price difference: check the exact variant
As accessed on October 5, 2026, OnePlus India listed the Nord 5 from ₹33,999. On the same date, 91mobiles displayed a Nord 5 price of ₹45,000 at Flipkart and a GT 7T price of ₹38,999 at Amazon. The two seller listings imply a displayed difference of ₹6,001, with the GT 7T lower, but they may represent different configurations or offers and are not a dependable like-for-like comparison.
Before deciding, compare the same RAM and storage configuration, seller, bank or exchange offers, and final checkout price. Treat manufacturer starting prices and third-party listing snapshots as different kinds of price evidence, and recheck live India listings because stock and offers change.
Which one should you buy?
Choose the realme GT 7T if
- You prioritize the larger stated battery and 120W wired charging.
- You want UFS 4.0 storage or prefer its Dimensity 8400-MAX platform.
- Its current price is lower than the equivalent Nord 5 configuration you are considering.
Choose the OnePlus Nord 5 if
- You want a 144Hz display rather than the GT 7T’s listed 120Hz screen.
- You value the stated 50MP autofocus front camera.
- You want OnePlus’s explicit four-Android-version and six-year security-update commitment.
For either phone, verify the configuration and current seller price before ordering. These trade-offs favor different priorities; the available evidence does not establish one overall best phone for every buyer.
