The OnePlus Nord 5 and realme 15 Pro 5G launched in India at the same base price, but the Nord’s entry configuration had twice the storage. The Nord 5 also has the stronger chipset on paper, while the realme offers a larger rated battery, a curved screen and a higher-resolution ultrawide camera. Your best choice depends on the exact variant and current price—not just the headline specs.

Which phone is faster?
The Nord 5 has the more performance-focused chipset of the pair: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 versus Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in the realme 15 Pro. In its comparison page accessed October 7, 2026, 91mobiles reports AnTuTu scores of 1,481,616 for the Nord 5 and 1,086,379 for the realme. Those are comparison-site test results, not a promise of the same score on every device or a measure of every app, game or use pattern.

How do their displays differ?
Both phones have 144 Hz AMOLED displays, but their shapes and advertised features diverge. The Nord 5 has a flat 6.83-inch panel and OnePlus lists Aqua Touch. The realme has a 6.8-inch curved display that the manufacturer calls HyperGlow 4D Curve+; realme advertises peak brightness up to 6,500 nits. That peak is a manufacturer claim under specified conditions, not a guarantee of sustained whole-screen brightness during ordinary use.
Choose the Nord if you prefer a flat screen. The curved realme display may suit someone who likes the look and feel of curved edges, but ergonomics and accidental touches are personal considerations rather than a universal advantage.
Which has better battery life and charging?
realme lists a 7,000 mAh battery, compared with 6,800 mAh for the India Nord 5. Both manufacturers advertise 80 W wired charging. The larger rated capacity does not by itself prove longer real-world battery life: display settings, software, signal strength and workload all affect runtime.

These are that comparison site’s test results; the available description does not fully document the test method, so treat them as a test snapshot rather than a prediction for your daily use. realme also cautions that its lab charging figures can vary with test conditions and battery wear.
What do the camera specifications tell you?
Both phones are listed with a 50 MP main rear camera and a 50 MP front camera. Their ultrawide specifications differ: 8 MP on the Nord 5 and 50 MP on the realme 15 Pro. That gives the realme the higher-resolution ultrawide hardware on paper, but megapixels alone do not establish which phone takes better photos. The available comparison does not provide a controlled, head-to-head image-quality assessment.
91mobiles lists rear video recording up to 4K at 60 frames per second for the Nord 5 and 4K at 30 frames per second for the realme 15 Pro, with front 4K/60 fps listed for both. realme’s own “All 50MP All 4K 60fps” wording is a manufacturer statement; verify the exact camera and mode on the regional model before buying if a particular video capability matters to you.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How do software-update commitments compare?
91mobiles lists both phones with Android 15 at launch and reports four years of OS updates plus six years of security updates for the Nord 5, versus three years of OS updates and four years of security updates for the realme 15 Pro. Published reporting is not consistent: India Today’s July 25, 2025 comparison described two years of OS support for the realme and four years for the OnePlus. Check the current official India support terms for the specific model before treating either duration as a guarantee.

At launch, the base price was ₹31,999 for each phone, but the base configurations were not alike. India Today’s July 25, 2025 report lists the following launch prices; they are historical prices, not current offers.
| RAM and storage | OnePlus Nord 5 launch price | realme 15 Pro launch price |
|---|---|---|
| 8 GB / 128 GB | Not listed in India Today’s launch-price table | ₹31,999 |
| 8 GB / 256 GB | ₹31,999 | ₹33,999 |
| 12 GB / 256 GB | ₹34,999 | ₹35,999 |
| 12 GB / 512 GB | ₹37,999 | ₹38,999 |
The like-for-like launch-price gap was ₹2,000 for the 8/256 GB configuration and ₹1,000 for each of the listed 12 GB configurations, with the Nord cheaper in each case. The equal ₹31,999 entry price instead paired 256 GB on the Nord with 128 GB on the realme. These figures come from India Today’s July 25, 2025 comparison.
Current prices and stock can change. A 91mobiles page accessed October 7, 2026 displayed ₹39,990 for the Nord 5 at Flipkart and no store listing for the realme 15 Pro; that snapshot is not confirmation of today’s price or availability. Compare the same RAM and storage configuration, seller, warranty and delivery terms before deciding.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the OnePlus Nord 5 if chipset performance is your priority, you prefer a flat display, or you want the longer update durations reported by 91mobiles—subject to confirming current official support terms.
- Choose the realme 15 Pro if you prefer a curved display, want its larger rated battery, or value a 50 MP ultrawide specification.
- Compare exact variants before paying. The launch base prices matched, but the Nord included more storage at that entry point. For current buying decisions, check live prices for equivalent configurations rather than relying on launch pricing or an old listing snapshot.
For the underlying specifications, see the manufacturers’ Nord 5 product page, realme 15 Pro product page, and realme’s July 24, 2025 launch announcement.
