Which phone is faster for gaming and everyday use?
The Nord 5 is the more performance-oriented choice on paper: OnePlus identifies it as using Snapdragon 8-series silicon, and 91mobiles specifies Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. The CE5 uses MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex. These chipset names help distinguish the platforms, but do not establish how either phone performs in a particular game, under sustained load or in daily use.
OnePlus publishes benchmark claims under specified laboratory conditions on its product pages. Those are manufacturer lab claims, not independent comparative testing, so they should not be treated as proof of real-world superiority. If demanding games or sustained workloads matter, look for testing of the exact regional versions and compare temperatures and performance over time, not just a peak benchmark score.

How do the displays compare?
Both India models are listed with AMOLED displays. The Nord 5 is rated at 144 Hz, compared with 120 Hz for the CE5. A higher refresh-rate ceiling can make supported motion look smoother, but the difference depends on the content, software settings and app support; it does not by itself establish better color, brightness or image quality.
Which phone has the better cameras?
The headline difference is the front-camera specification: OnePlus markets the Nord 5 with a 50 MP front camera, while 91mobiles lists a 16 MP front camera for the CE5. On the rear, the third-party comparison lists both with a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera.
Megapixel counts describe resolution, not overall camera quality. They do not establish which phone takes better photos in low light, handles moving subjects more reliably or produces more natural skin tones. Choose based on the camera situations you care about and seek samples or testing of the exact models rather than assuming the higher front-camera number guarantees better results.

Does the CE5’s larger battery mean longer battery life?
OnePlus India lists a 7,100 mAh battery for the CE5 and 6,800 mAh for the Nord 5. Both are listed with 80 W charging. The larger stated capacity gives the CE5 an advantage on paper, but capacity alone cannot predict how long a charge lasts: OnePlus notes that usage and environmental factors affect battery life.
What is the price difference?
The clearest dated comparison is for India. The Times of India reported starting launch prices of ₹31,999 for the Nord 5 and ₹22,999 for the CE5 on July 9, 2025—a ₹9,000 difference at launch. These are historical launch prices, not current offers.

A separate 91mobiles listing snapshot accessed October 7, 2026 showed the Nord 5 at ₹43,999 on Flipkart and the CE5 at ₹34,780, marked out of stock. This is a dated, time-sensitive third-party listing, not a guarantee of availability or a like-for-like price for a specific configuration. Check the live retailer price before deciding.

How long will each phone receive updates?
OnePlus’s India product information states four Android version updates and six years of security updates for both phones. Confirm that the same commitment applies to the model and region you plan to buy; update terms may not be identical for every market or variant.
