There is no reliable numeric price difference to report without matching market and configuration: OnePlus India lists the Nord 5 from ₹33,999, but a comparable official Motorola price was not established.

Which phone has the better display and design?
The Nord 5 has the larger panel and higher stated refresh-rate ceiling: 6.83 inches and up to 144 Hz, versus the Edge 60 Pro’s 6.7 inches and 120 Hz in the cited regional specifications. That gives the OnePlus an advantage on screen size and maximum refresh rate on paper. The Motorola is lighter in the cited figures at 186 g versus 211 g, a difference that may matter if you prefer a less heavy handset.
Motorola Australia describes the Edge 60 Pro display as quad-curved and lists IP68/IP69 protection. The cited OnePlus specification page gives the Nord 5 display dimensions and weight but does not establish an equivalent protection rating here. Peak brightness and image quality are not compared: manufacturer figures may use different conditions, and no matched display testing is available.

Performance, memory and storage: what the specs do—and do not—tell you
OnePlus’s EEA page lists a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, LPDDR5X memory options of 8 GB or 12 GB, and 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Motorola’s EMEA page lists a Dimensity 8350-series processor with 12 GB LPDDR5X and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage. The Australian Motorola page instead lists 8 GB or 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, illustrating why market-specific configurations matter.
Those component names and storage standards do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use, gaming or sustained workloads. No comparable benchmark or hands-on performance results are available here, so a performance winner cannot be declared from the chip labels alone.
Camera comparison: Motorola adds a dedicated telephoto
The clearest camera hardware distinction is the Edge 60 Pro’s dedicated 10 MP telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom and OIS. Its Australian specification also lists a 50 MP ultrawide with macro capability alongside a 50 MP OIS main camera. The Nord 5 EEA configuration lists a 50 MP main camera with optical and electronic stabilization and an 8 MP ultrawide, with no dedicated telephoto listed.
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minutePC Slower Than It Used to Be?

OnePlus lists rear video recording up to 4K at 60 fps; Motorola Australia lists 4K UHD at 30 fps across the listed rear cameras. These specifications describe available hardware and recording modes, not the quality of photos or video. The telephoto gives Motorola more documented focal-length flexibility, but does not prove that it takes better pictures overall.
Battery and charging: larger capacity and wireless charging on Motorola
The cited Nord 5 EEA page lists a 5,200 mAh battery and 80 W SUPERVOOC charging, plus USB PD/PPS support and wired reverse charging. Motorola lists a 6,000 mAh battery, up to 90 W TurboPower wired charging, 15 W wireless charging and 5 W wired power sharing. The TurboPower figure is specified for use with the required Motorola charger; Motorola’s user guide cautions that a charger may not be included in the package. Check box contents for the exact market and SKU.
On these published specifications, Motorola offers the larger listed capacity and more charging options. Neither capacity nor a wattage rating establishes real-world battery life or charging time; those depend on usage, charger and conditions, and are not tested here.

Software support: compare the regional promises carefully
OnePlus’s Nord 5 EEA specification page promises “At least four generations of android OS upgrades and six years of security updates from the launch date.” Motorola Australia lists Android 16 and “(3 OS + 4 Years SMR),” meaning three OS upgrades and four years of security maintenance releases as stated on that page.

What is the price difference?
A defensible numeric price difference is not established by the cited prices. OnePlus India lists the Nord 5 “From ₹33,999” on its product page accessed in 2026. That is a regional starting price, not a matched offer or necessarily a launch price. A comparable official Motorola India price for an equivalent Edge 60 Pro configuration was not confirmed, so subtracting one from the other would be misleading.
For a useful local comparison, check both phones on the same date in the same market, match RAM and storage, and compare like with like—such as official list prices or current transaction prices. Discounts, exchange offers and retailer pricing can change the result.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Nord 5 on paper if a larger screen, a higher refresh-rate ceiling, or OnePlus’s longer stated EEA software-support commitment is your priority.
- Choose the Edge 60 Pro on paper if you want a dedicated 3× optical telephoto, wireless charging, a larger listed battery or a lighter body.
- Compare local SKUs before deciding if price, RAM, storage, Android version or included charger is decisive; the listed Motorola configurations differ between EMEA and Australia, and support statements are region-specific.
This is a specification-based choice, not a universal verdict: the available evidence does not establish a single performance, camera-quality or value winner across markets.
