Display: resolution and panel type matter more than shared size
Both phones are listed with 6.8-inch displays. Motorola specifies a 2K Extreme AMOLED panel at 1440 × 3168 resolution, with a refresh rate up to 144Hz. OnePlus specifies a 120Hz display, while the comparison listing identifies its panel as LCD. The higher stated resolution and AMOLED panel give the Motorola the stronger display specification on paper; actual viewing quality also depends on brightness, calibration and content.

Performance, RAM and storage
Motorola lists the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. OnePlus lists the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex and configurations with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage; its product page also describes virtual RAM.
In figures reported by 91mobiles, the Motorola scored 2,972,932 on AnTuTu and the OnePlus scored 588,319. These are third-party comparison-database results, not guaranteed everyday performance measures: benchmark scores vary with test version, software and test conditions. The chipset and memory specifications favor Motorola on paper, but choose a configuration based on the apps and multitasking you actually need.

91mobiles reports PCMark battery-test results of 18 hours 17 minutes for the OnePlus and 16 hours 38 minutes for the Motorola. These are results from that comparison database’s test, not runtime promises; real battery life depends on settings, signal strength, workload and other conditions.

Camera hardware
OnePlus promotes a 50MP main camera and says 60fps video recording is available on the 6GB + 128GB variant. Motorola lists a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 50MP ultrawide camera. These specifications describe hardware and recording claims, not comparative image quality. Megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better photos or video.
Durability and protection ratings
OnePlus states IP65 and MIL-STD-810H claims. Motorola lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings, along with MIL-STD-810H. These are manufacturer-listed ratings or certification claims, not guarantees against every kind of water exposure, drop or impact. Follow each manufacturer’s care and warranty terms.

Software and update support
Motorola lists Android 16, with up to three years of OS upgrades and up to five years of security patches. The consulted OnePlus product page identifies OxygenOS 16 but does not state a directly comparable update-support duration. The available information therefore does not establish a definite software-support winner; check OnePlus’s policy for the exact India-market model before purchase if update longevity is a priority.

Motorola lists NFC, Wi-Fi 7 and stereo speakers, as well as the wireless charging noted above. 91mobiles lists the OnePlus as lacking NFC and as having Wi-Fi 5, but those are comparison-database fields rather than a confirmed full official specification comparison, so verify connectivity against OnePlus’s technical specifications if it affects your decision.
Both manufacturer pages referenced for these specifications are for India-market products. If buying outside India or importing a handset, verify the exact model’s network bands with your carrier before ordering.
Quick Recap
Which phone fits your priorities?
- Consider the Motorola Edge 70 Max if you prioritize the higher-resolution AMOLED display, higher stated refresh rate, listed chipset and memory, faster wired charging, wireless charging, or Motorola’s published update duration.
- Consider the OnePlus N6 5G if the lower reported India price and larger stated battery capacity are more important to you, and its listed memory and storage configuration suits your needs.
- Check before deciding if camera quality, exact software support, connectivity or real-world battery life is decisive: the listed specifications and comparison figures do not settle those questions on their own.
