Which phone should you buy?
Choose the OnePlus 15R if performance and screen size matter most
OnePlus specifies the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while vivo lists the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 for the V70. That places the 15R in the higher chipset tier by specification, but it does not establish a particular gaming frame rate, benchmark score or sustained performance advantage. The 15R also has the higher listed refresh rate at 165 Hz and a larger display class, which may suit people who prefer more screen space and smoother supported content.
Choose the vivo V70 if you want a dedicated zoom camera
The V70 has a 50 MP telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom alongside its 50 MP OIS main camera and 8 MP ultra-wide. The OnePlus 15R specifications list a 50 MP Sony IMX906 OIS main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide, but no dedicated telephoto camera. That gives vivo the clearer hardware option for optical zoom; it does not establish that every V70 photo will be better. vivo describes the V70 system as co-engineered with ZEISS, a manufacturer claim rather than an independent camera verdict.

Choose by screen size, battery capacity or charging rating
The V70’s 6.59-inch screen is smaller than the 15R’s 6.83-inch class display. The OnePlus lists a 7,400 mAh battery and 80 W charging; vivo lists 6,500 mAh typical capacity and 90 W charging. Capacity and rated charging power alone cannot tell you which phone lasts longer or charges faster in comparable everyday use.
How the displays differ
OnePlus advertises a 1.5K display at 165 Hz. vivo’s listed V70 panel is a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with 2750 × 1260 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. On stated specifications, the 15R favors a larger screen and higher maximum refresh rate; the V70 offers a more compact display.
vivo also lists 5000 nits local peak brightness. This is a local, trigger-dependent peak figure, not a promise of routine full-screen brightness. OnePlus calls its panel “The otherworldly-smooth 165Hz 1.5K display pumps more frames faster and delivers crisp silhouettes sooner”; that is OnePlus marketing wording, not a measured comparison.
Camera hardware and video features
The V70’s rear-camera distinction is its dedicated 3× optical telephoto lens. vivo lists a 50 MP OIS main camera, that 50 MP telephoto camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide, as well as a 50 MP front camera. OnePlus lists a 50 MP Sony IMX906 OIS main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide and a 32 MP autofocus front camera; its product page also advertises 4K 120 fps video.
Megapixel counts, ZEISS branding and advertised video modes describe hardware or features; they are not substitutes for comparable image-quality tests. vivo’s claim that its “50 MP ZEISS Night Telephoto Camera” captures distant portraits in “stunning detail” is product copy, not independently verified performance.

Battery, charging and durability
The 15R’s listed 7,400 mAh capacity is larger than the V70’s 6,500 mAh typical capacity, while the V70’s listed charging rate is higher at 90 W versus the 15R’s 80 W SUPERVOOC. These figures do not establish comparative runtime or charging duration: those depend on use, settings, temperature, charger and other conditions.
vivo lists IP68/IP69 protection for the V70, and OnePlus advertises IP ratings for the 15R. These ratings refer to specified test conditions and should not be read as a guarantee against every kind of water exposure or as advice to intentionally immerse either phone. Check the product page and warranty terms for the exact regional model before relying on a protection claim.
Price difference in India
At the time it was accessed, vivo’s India store displayed the V70 at ₹64,999, with ₹75,999 MRP shown. The listing included 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB variants. This is a store price snapshot, not a guaranteed future price.
A separate comparison listing showed ₹54,999 for the OnePlus 15R and ₹49,999 for the V70, but that page was crawled months earlier and its V70 figure conflicts with vivo’s store listing. It should not be used to claim a current price gap. A dependable same-date OnePlus price was not established, so the exact current difference cannot be stated here. Promotions, bank offers, exchange discounts, storage tier and stock can change the amount a buyer pays; compare live prices for the same capacity before deciding.
Launch dates and buying context
The cited comparison page lists December 17, 2025, as the OnePlus 15R launch date and February 19, 2026, for the vivo V70. These dates provide chronology, but they do not resolve the current price difference or establish a performance winner.
