For India, the official specifications also give OnePlus a 400mAh battery-capacity lead and faster wired charging. There is no reliable same-market, equivalent-storage price comparison here, so which is the better buy depends on current local prices and which features matter most.

OnePlus 15R: higher-tier chipset on paper
OnePlus lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while Motorola India lists a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. That gives the 15R the stronger chipset specification and makes it the more promising choice for demanding games and workloads. It is a specification-based comparison, not proof of a particular speed difference: the available sources do not provide matched independent benchmark results for both phones.

Display: higher refresh rate versus stated panel detail
OnePlus advertises a 165Hz 1.5K display. Motorola specifies a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED panel at 2772 × 1272 resolution and up to 144Hz. The 15R therefore leads on the advertised refresh-rate ceiling; the Motorola page gives a precise screen size and pixel resolution. Manufacturer brightness claims, where presented, are not equivalent to matched measurement results, so they cannot establish which screen is brighter in practice.
How do battery, charging and weight compare?
For the official India specifications, OnePlus lists a 7,400mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging; Motorola lists 7,000mAh and 68W TurboPower. These are capacity and charging-rate figures, not a guarantee of how long either phone lasts or how quickly it charges in every use condition.
The comparison source lists the 15R at 219g, while Motorola’s India specification gives the Edge 70 Fusion as 193g. That makes the Motorola the lighter option according to these listings. OnePlus’s cited page does not establish whether a charger is included; Motorola lists its 68W charger, cable, guides and SIM tool in the India box contents.
Do the cameras make one a clear winner?
Both phones list a 50MP stabilized main camera and a 32MP front camera. OnePlus specifies a Sony IMX906 main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide and autofocus on the selfie camera. Motorola lists a Sony LYTIA 710 main sensor with OIS and a 13MP ultrawide with macro capability, giving it the higher stated ultrawide resolution.
Those specifications do not settle image quality. TechRadar’s review described the Motorola’s cameras as capable but not class-leading; the available sources do not include a matched camera test against the 15R. Choose based on camera samples and features you need rather than megapixel counts alone.
What is the price difference?
A current, like-for-like price difference cannot be established from the cited figures: they are launch-period prices from different markets, not current offers for equivalent storage configurations. TechRadar’s May 31, 2026 review reported Motorola launch prices of £379.99 in the UK and AU$499 in Australia, and said the phone was not on sale in the US at review time. Android Central’s launch-period OnePlus reporting gives starting prices of US$699.99 and £649. Those figures should not be used to calculate a saving between the phones or as a current price quote.

Do not assume every Edge 70 Fusion has the India model’s battery or processor. Motorola India lists Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and 7,000mAh, and says specifications may vary by market. TechRadar reports that some regional versions have a 5,200mAh battery; Gadgets360 also lists 5,200mAh and a generic octa-core processor. For an India purchase, use Motorola’s India product information and confirm the exact SKU; for another market, check that region’s official listing.
Software, durability and ownership considerations
Motorola India lists Android 16, IP68/IP69 protection and MIL-STD 810H. OnePlus markets OxygenOS 16 and IP ratings on its product page. The cited material does not establish comparable update commitments for both models, so it cannot support a claim that one will receive longer software support.
TechRadar’s reviewer said they used the Motorola for a month, including everyday use and Geekbench 6 and 3DMark testing. The review described gaming as capable but below top-end devices, reported two days of use under the reviewer’s conditions, and noted a Bluetooth drop-out on the review sample and occasional missed reads from the under-display fingerprint reader. The reviewer also described the display as bright and vibrant and reported three years of OS updates. These are observations from one review, not guarantees for every unit or a head-to-head result against the 15R.
Motorola India lists a one-year handset warranty and six-month accessory warranty. Warranty coverage is regional; check the terms that apply to the exact phone you buy.

Quick Recap
Which phone should you buy?
- Choose the OnePlus 15R if chipset positioning, a 165Hz display, larger listed India battery capacity or 80W charging are your priorities—and its current local price fits your budget.
- Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion if you value the lighter listed India model, a 13MP ultrawide, or the included 68W charger, and its local price is more attractive for your needs.
- Check before ordering: verify the Motorola’s regional battery and chipset, both phones’ storage configurations, current local prices, and warranty terms. The evidence does not establish a universal overall winner without those details.
