Which phone has the stronger performance specifications?
OnePlus lists the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while Motorola lists the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. That makes the OnePlus chip the higher-tier named part in these specifications, but the distinction alone does not establish a real-world speed advantage, sustained performance, or gaming result. The available figures do not provide a comparable benchmark test.
How do the displays and cameras differ?
Display
The screens are close in size and resolution, and both advertise refresh rates up to 165Hz. OnePlus specifies adaptive refresh from 1Hz to 120Hz and up to 165Hz in gaming. Motorola lists up to 165Hz. Their brightness figures are not directly comparable: OnePlus gives an HBM figure, while Motorola gives a peak-brightness figure, with no shared measurement conditions established here.

Rear cameras
Both phones list three 50MP rear cameras. OnePlus specifies 3.5× optical telephoto zoom, compared with Motorola’s 3× optical periscope telephoto. Their much higher digital-zoom ceilings—up to 120× and 100×, respectively—do not indicate how much useful detail images retain.
Selfie cameras
Motorola lists a 50MP front camera, versus 32MP on the OnePlus 15. Resolution is a specification, not a reliable standalone measure of selfie quality; the cited figures do not establish which phone takes better photos.
Which has the larger battery, and which charges faster on paper?
OnePlus lists a 7,300mAh battery, compared with Motorola’s 5,200mAh silicon-carbon battery. For charging, Motorola lists the higher wired rate at 90W versus 80W on the OnePlus US specifications page. Both list 50W wireless charging, while Motorola also lists 10W wireless reverse charging. These capacity and charging ratings do not establish comparative battery life or time to charge under matching conditions.

Motorola’s listed 6.99mm thickness and 186g weight make it slimmer and lighter than the OnePlus 15, which is 8.1–8.2mm thick and 211–215g depending on color. If pocketability or a lighter feel matters, the published dimensions favor Motorola.

The cited OnePlus specifications identify Android 16 and OxygenOS 16 but do not state an equivalent support duration. What is the price difference?
