It has the higher-tier chipset, a sharper LTPO display, more physical memory in the configuration OnePlus cites, and a more versatile rear camera system. The OnePlus N6 5G counters with a larger stated battery and a lower price in the India listings checked. The price gap is the part to treat with caution: two third-party price sources, one updated September 29, 2026 and one accessed October 7, 2026, disagree sharply on the 13R, with a difference of ₹17,099 between their 13R prices.

| Axis | OnePlus 13R | OnePlus N6 5G | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Market and launch | Announced globally on January 7, 2025 (OnePlus India launch release) | India launch on June 30, 2026 (OnePlus India product material) | The N6 information is India-specific. Do not assume it is sold in other markets. |
| Chipset | Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (OnePlus UK specification page) | MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex (OnePlus India product page) | The 13R sits in a higher performance tier. Benchmark scores from different chips are not directly comparable unless the test method and software versions match. |
| Memory and storage | 12 GB RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.0 in the UK configuration | 4 GB + 128 GB and 6 GB + 128 GB variants; dynamic RAM expansion advertised | The 13R offers more physical memory and storage in the configurations cited. Virtual RAM expansion does not replace physical RAM. |
| Display | 6.78-inch LTPO, 2780 × 1264 resolution, dynamic 1–120 Hz (OnePlus UK specification page) | 120 Hz refresh rate advertised (OnePlus India product page). Size, resolution and panel type: 6.8-inch, 720 × 1570, LCD, from a third-party comparison listing only | The 13R has much higher verified resolution and LTPO panel tech. The N6 resolution and panel type are not confirmed on an official spec sheet. |
| Rear cameras | 50 MP main, 50 MP 2× telephoto, 8 MP ultrawide (OnePlus India launch release) | 50 MP main emphasized (OnePlus India product material). No ultrawide or telephoto reported by a third-party comparison listing | The 13R has the more versatile listed camera system. Megapixel counts alone do not establish image quality. |
| Front camera | 16 MP (third-party comparison listing) | 8 MP (third-party comparison listing). Not stated in OnePlus India product material reviewed | Front camera figures rest on a secondary source for both phones. |
| Battery | 6,000 mAh (OnePlus India launch release) | 8,000 mAh typical / 7,780 mAh rated (OnePlus India product page) | The N6 has the larger nominal battery. Capacity does not directly predict real-world endurance. |
| Wired charging | 80 W in India launch material; 55 W in North America | 45 W SUPERVOOC (OnePlus India product page) | Charging speeds differ by market, and the charger included in the box may vary. |
Launch timing and availability
The two phones sit at very different points in their life cycles. The OnePlus 13R was announced globally in January 2025, so it has been on the market for more than 18 months by October 2026. The N6 launched in India on June 30, 2026. Because the N6 material reviewed is India-specific, a buyer outside India should not assume the N6 is available locally, and the price and stock comparisons below apply to Indian listings only.
Performance and memory
The 13R’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is the higher-tier chipset of the two, and OnePlus cites 12 GB of RAM with 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage for its UK configuration. The N6’s Dimensity 6360 Apex is positioned lower, and its India variants top out at 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage. Heavier multitasking, demanding games and longer-term app load are the situations where that gap is most likely to show. No independent benchmark or real-world performance test comparing the two phones was established in the sources reviewed, so the difference should be read as a published specification gap, not a measured speed difference.

The N6’s dynamic RAM expansion adds virtual memory drawn from storage. It can help keep background apps alive, but it is slower than physical RAM and should not be counted as an equal substitute.
Display
On the 13R, OnePlus’s UK specification page lists a 6.78-inch LTPO panel at 2780 × 1264 with a dynamic 1–120 Hz refresh rate. LTPO lets the screen adjust its refresh rate down to lower levels when static content is shown, which is the main reason to prefer it for battery use. The N6’s India product page advertises a 120 Hz display, but the resolution and panel type come only from a third-party comparison listing, which gives 720 × 1570 on an LCD. If that figure is correct, the N6 would show noticeably less detail per inch than the 13R. Check the N6’s panel specification on OnePlus’s official product page before you rely on it.
Cameras
The 13R’s rear system, as described in OnePlus’s January 2025 India launch release, combines a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP 2× telephoto and an 8 MP ultrawide, which gives it framing options the N6 does not appear to offer. OnePlus’s N6 materials emphasize the 50 MP main camera. A third-party comparison listing reports no ultrawide or telephoto lens on the N6. The main sensor resolutions are the same, so any difference in everyday photos would come from processing, sensor size and lens quality. Those are not established in the sources reviewed.

Battery and charging
The N6 has the clear battery advantage on paper. OnePlus lists it at 8,000 mAh typical and 7,780 mAh rated, against 6,000 mAh for the 13R. The gap is roughly 2,000 mAh on either figure. Battery life is shaped by the display, chipset and software as well as capacity, and the N6 battery-life claims are OnePlus Test Lab results, not independent testing. Charging runs the other way: the N6 supports 45 W SUPERVOOC, while the 13R is rated at 80 W in India and 55 W in North America. How quickly either phone charges in practice depends on the charger you use.

Price difference: why the gap is not fixed
Two price sources give different pictures. The table lists both with their dates, because the date matters as much as the figure.
| Source and date | OnePlus 13R | OnePlus N6 5G | Stock and seller |
|---|---|---|---|
| 91mobiles, accessed October 7, 2026 | ₹37,900 | ₹24,999 (via Amazon India) | 13R shown as out of stock. Stock for the N6 listing not stated. |
| Smartprix, details last updated September 29, 2026 | ₹54,999 | ₹23,999 | Stock and seller not stated. |
Both sources put the N6 below the 13R. The size of the gap is what changes: ₹12,901 in the 91mobiles snapshot and ₹31,000 in the Smartprix one. The likely causes are differences in seller, storage variant, stock status and the date each price was captured, though the sources do not explain their differences. The 13R’s out-of-stock status in one listing also means its price in that listing may not reflect an active offer. Use these figures only to understand the range, and check live prices before you decide.
Which phone fits your priorities
Choose the OnePlus 13R if
- You want the higher-tier chipset and more physical RAM and storage in the configurations OnePlus cites.
- Screen sharpness and an LTPO panel matter to you.
- You want a rear camera system with a telephoto and an ultrawide lens.
- You can pay more and find the 13R in stock at a trusted seller.
Choose the OnePlus N6 5G if
- A large battery is your top priority, and the 8,000 mAh figure matters more to you than charging speed.
- You are buying in India and the lower listed price is the decisive factor.
- You accept a lower-tier platform, lower RAM and storage variants, and a camera system that is primarily a single 50 MP main sensor.
This is a verdict based on published specifications, not a hands-on review or an independent battery test.

- Check the seller, stock status and live price on the day of purchase.
- Confirm that the phone supports your local network bands.
- Check the warranty terms and the charger included in the box, since charging speed depends on it.
- Look at software support commitments on OnePlus’s official pages. Support periods were not established in the sources reviewed.
