The OnePlus 13 is the better-documented phone of the two. OnePlus India publishes a full spec sheet and configuration prices. For the Redmi Turbo 5, the official sources we could confirm show only that an 8GB/256GB model exists in India and what its store price was. That is not enough to name an overall winner, and the two prices are not a like-for-like gap. This article sets out what is verified for each phone, how to calculate a fair price difference, and what to check before you buy.

#1 Best Overall
India pricing by configuration
OnePlus India lists MRPs of ₹69,999 for 12GB+256GB, ₹76,999 for 16GB+512GB and ₹89,999 for 24GB+1TB. An MRP is a list price, not necessarily what you pay at checkout. Bank offers, exchange bonuses and retailer pricing can all change it, and the page is specific to India.
Redmi Turbo 5: what is and isn’t established
Xiaomi’s India store lists the Redmi Turbo 5 in Turbo White with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It shows ₹41,999 with ₹54,999 crossed out (Xiaomi India Store). The crossed-out figure is a reference price, not proof of a past selling price. The listing also doesn’t establish launch pricing, other markets, or other memory tiers.
A Xiaomi Community post dated 26 January 2026 said the Turbo 5 series would launch in China on 29 January (Xiaomi Community). That is a community post, not a full official spec release.
We did not find an official Xiaomi spec page for the Turbo 5 that we could cite. So this article does not list its display, chipset, camera or battery figures. Check those on Xiaomi’s page for your country before comparing them with the OnePlus 13 numbers above.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to work out the real price difference
Subtracting ₹41,999 from ₹69,999 gives a number, but it isn’t a fair measure. The OnePlus figure is an MRP for 12GB/256GB. The Xiaomi figure is a discounted live store price for 8GB/256GB. The phones also sit in different hardware classes by the memory listed, and the store price may have moved since it was recorded.
- Pick one country and currency.
- Match RAM and storage as closely as possible. The nearest official pairing is OnePlus 13 12GB/256GB against Turbo 5 8GB/256GB, and even that isn’t identical.
- Record the checkout price from the same type of seller for both, such as each brand’s own store.
- Note taxes, bank offers, exchange bonuses and any coupon separately.
- Write down the date, since both prices move.
What to check before choosing
- Display: compare size, resolution, refresh range, peak brightness and glass protection from each maker’s page.
- Performance: compare chipset and memory type. Only compare benchmark scores if the test method and software version match.
- Cameras: sensor and lens roles (such as a telephoto) are hardware facts. Image quality needs independent testing.
- Battery: rated capacity, charging wattage and wireless support are separate. Real endurance needs controlled tests.
- Software and support: check the Android version, update commitment, warranty and service access in your country.
- Network bands: confirm 5G and 4G band support for your carrier, especially if the model was first released in China.
- Stock: some configurations and colours sell out or are limited to certain markets.
Who each phone suits, on current evidence
The OnePlus 13 is the safer pick if you want documented flagship features: QHD+ LTPO display, Snapdragon 8 Elite, a telephoto camera and wireless charging. The Redmi Turbo 5 is the one to consider if its lower displayed Indian price fits your budget, but only after you’ve confirmed its specs on Xiaomi’s own page. Until then, its camera, charging and software support are unverified here.
