The OnePlus 13 and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra are large-screen Android flagships, but their specifications point to different priorities: OnePlus lists a larger battery and faster charging rates, while Samsung offers an additional 5x optical telephoto camera, a built-in Privacy Display, and seven years of security updates. Samsung’s US launch MSRP for the 256GB S26 Ultra was $1,299.99; the available information does not establish a current OnePlus 13 price, so it cannot support a current price-gap claim.

What the display differences mean
Samsung lists a 6.9-inch screen, compared with 6.82 inches for the OnePlus 13. Both are QHD+ displays with refresh rates that can adapt up to 120Hz, according to their manufacturers. The diagonal alone does not determine which phone feels easier to hold: dimensions, weight, screen shape, and case choice also matter, and the cited specifications do not establish a hands-on comfort winner.
#1 Best Overall
Camera systems: Samsung adds a longer optical zoom
Both phones list a 50MP ultrawide and a 3x optical telephoto camera. Samsung also lists a 50MP 5x optical telephoto, giving it a separate longer-reach camera in the specification sheet. OnePlus lists three 50MP rear cameras, including its 3x telephoto.
The S26 Ultra’s 200MP main-camera figure and OnePlus’s 50MP main-camera figure describe resolution, not overall photo quality. They do not establish differences in detail, color, low-light performance, shutter speed, or video. Those require comparable camera testing or sample images under similar conditions.
Battery capacity and charging are not runtime tests
OnePlus lists a 6,000mAh typical equivalent capacity for the OnePlus 13’s dual-cell battery and specifies 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Samsung lists 5,000mAh typical capacity for the S26 Ultra, with a 4,855mAh rated minimum, and says its charging system can reach 75% in around 30 minutes.
These are not directly comparable runtime or charging test results. Battery life depends on factors such as network conditions, settings, and use. Charging results also depend on the charger, region, settings, and conditions; the manufacturers’ stated rates and charging claim should not be read as a controlled comparison of the two phones.
Software support and distinctive features
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
Samsung states that the S26 series will receive seven years of security updates and highlights a built-in Privacy Display. These are Samsung’s announced claims; the cited launch material does not establish how every feature or support detail applies across all regions.
OnePlus 13
OnePlus lists IP68/IP69 ratings and Aqua Touch 2.0 among the OnePlus 13’s features. The cited OnePlus specifications page says its information may be subject to change. These feature listings do not, by themselves, provide a basis for comparing the phones’ broader software-support policies.

Samsung announced a US launch MSRP of $1,299.99 for the 256GB Galaxy S26 Ultra in 2026. That is a launch price, not a verified current sale price. The cited material does not establish a current US transaction price for the OnePlus 13, so it does not support a present-day dollar difference or a reliable conclusion about which phone costs less today.

For a useful live comparison, check both phones in the same country, match storage capacity, and compare the same kind of price: regular retail price against regular retail price, or sale price against sale price. Treat trade-in credits, carrier offers, and time-limited promotions separately. Samsung’s launch announcement also included a time-limited offer; it is historical and should not be assumed to remain available.
Which phone fits your priorities?
- Consider the OnePlus 13 if: its listed 6,000mAh typical equivalent battery capacity and 80W wired/50W wireless charging rates are high priorities for you. These specifications do not prove longer real-world battery life or a faster charge in every setup.
- Consider the Galaxy S26 Ultra if: you want the listed 5x optical telephoto in addition to 3x, Samsung’s built-in Privacy Display, or its stated seven-year security-update commitment.
- Compare camera evidence before choosing for image quality: camera resolution and lens options alone do not establish which phone takes better photos.
- Check current prices before deciding on value: the verified $1,299.99 figure is Samsung’s US launch MSRP for the 256GB model, not a live price comparison.
Sources and scope
This comparison uses the manufacturers’ published specifications and launch claims: OnePlus 13 specifications, the OnePlus North American launch announcement, and Samsung’s US Galaxy S26 series announcement. They establish listed specifications and launch statements, not independent benchmark, camera, battery-life, or current-stock results.
