1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsIn the U.S., the listed starting prices differ by $400: OnePlus shows the OnePlus 13 from $899.99, while Samsung lists the Galaxy S25 Ultra from $1,299.99 before trade-in. Those are manufacturer-listed starting prices, not a confirmed like-for-like comparison of matching storage configurations or current offers. The choice comes down to priorities: OnePlus emphasizes battery capacity and charging speed; Samsung adds a built-in S Pen, a slightly larger display, a higher storage ceiling and a stated seven-year update commitment.
OnePlus 13 vs Galaxy S25 Ultra: price difference
OnePlus’s U.S. product page lists the OnePlus 13 from $899.99, and Samsung’s U.S. comparison page lists the Galaxy S25 Ultra from $1,299.99 before trade-in. Subtracting those displayed starting prices gives a $400 gap. OnePlus’s listing and Samsung’s listing can change with promotions and availability.

Display and performance: published specs, not a head-to-head result
Screen size and refresh rate
Samsung lists a 6.9-inch screen, compared with 6.82 inches on the OnePlus 13. Both are QHD+ displays with refresh rates up to 120 Hz; OnePlus specifies LTPO 4.1 and an adaptive 1–120 Hz range. Samsung’s sheet identifies the panel as Dynamic AMOLED 2X. The diagonal measurements and manufacturer brightness figures do not establish which screen is more readable outdoors or has more accurate color. A fair display comparison would use the same measurement method and assess reflections, color, refresh behavior and real-world readability.
Chipsets and everyday speed
The names identify closely related Snapdragon 8 Elite platforms, with Samsung specifying “for Galaxy” for its version. That naming alone does not show whether the phones perform equally in games, sustained workloads, or daily use. The published specifications are not a substitute for comparable performance testing.
Battery and charging: OnePlus has the higher listed capacity
OnePlus lists a 6,000 mAh typical battery for the U.S. OnePlus 13, along with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Its U.S. specification page says the phone can reach up to 100W wired charging with the named OnePlus adapter; check market compatibility and what is included with the phone before relying on that rate.
Samsung’s Philippines launch specification lists a 5,000 mAh typical battery for the S25 Ultra. Samsung’s U.S. comparison page also claims up to 31 hours of video playback, a manufacturer claim that should not be treated as directly comparable to battery capacity in mAh. Capacity and charging wattage alone do not establish how long either phone lasts or how quickly it charges in a particular situation. For those answers, look for comparable endurance and charge-time tests.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Camera hardware: more megapixels do not settle image quality
The OnePlus 13 lists three 50 MP rear cameras: wide, 3× optical telephoto and ultra-wide. Its front camera is 32 MP with fixed focus. Samsung lists a 200 MP wide camera, 50 MP ultra-wide, 50 MP 5× telephoto and 10 MP 3× telephoto, plus a 12 MP autofocus front camera.
Those figures describe resolution and lens roles, not which phone produces better photos or video. To choose for camera quality, compare sample images and video in daylight, at night, across zoom levels, for portraits and selfies. Sensor resolution by itself cannot resolve differences in processing, exposure, focus or consistency.
Storage, S Pen and controls: the practical differences
Storage options
The U.S. OnePlus specification page lists 256 GB and 512 GB configurations. Samsung’s U.S. sheet lists storage up to 1 TB, with 256 GB and 512 GB options as well. Samsung therefore offers the higher maximum storage tier in the cited specifications; confirm the configuration and price available from the seller before purchasing.
S Pen or Alert Slider
The Galaxy S25 Ultra has a built-in S Pen, which is a meaningful distinction if you expect to write notes, mark up documents or use pen input. OnePlus instead lists an Alert Slider, a physical control for changing alert modes. These features serve different purposes, so the useful question is which one fits how you use a phone.
OnePlus also lists a dual nano-SIM slot and Wi-Fi 7. SIM and network support can vary by market and carrier, so verify compatibility for your region and service.
Software support: Samsung states a duration; the cited OnePlus page does not
Samsung’s S25 series specification sheet states seven years of OS and security updates. The OnePlus U.S. specifications page identifies OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 but does not state a comparable update-duration commitment. That difference is about what these cited pages publish; it does not establish a OnePlus support duration. If long-term support is central to your decision, check OnePlus’s current policy for the exact model and region before buying.
Quick Recap
Which phone fits your priorities?
- Consider the OnePlus 13 if its lower listed U.S. starting price, 6,000 mAh typical capacity, 80W wired charging claim, 50W wireless charging, or Alert Slider best match your priorities.
- Consider the Galaxy S25 Ultra if you want a built-in S Pen, a 6.9-inch display, a 1 TB storage option, or Samsung’s stated seven-year OS and security update commitment.
- For camera quality, battery life, or performance, use comparable independent tests or sample results rather than choosing from megapixels, battery capacity, chipset names or charging wattage alone.
- For value, compare current prices for matching storage and include trade-in, carrier or retailer offers, and tax. The $400 figure is only the difference between the displayed manufacturer starting prices.
