Choose the OnePlus 12R for a larger screen
Its 6.78-inch panel gives more room for reading, video and split-screen use. The listed LTPO AMOLED display supports a 1–120 Hz refresh range. If you prefer a smaller handset, the X300 FE’s 6.31-inch display is the more compact choice; vivo lists its weight as 191g.

Choose the vivo X300 FE for a dedicated telephoto camera
The X300 FE has a separate 50MP telephoto camera with OIS, and vivo’s overview specifies 3x optical zoom. The 12R instead has a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera. That gives vivo the more versatile listed camera hardware for distant subjects, but specifications alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos. No directly comparable photo test is available here.
Consider capacity and charging separately
OnePlus lists 5,500 mAh typical battery capacity and 100W charging for the 12R. vivo lists 6,500 mAh typical capacity for the X300 FE and 90W FlashCharge, specifying use of the original charger and cable; charging power can vary with use. These capacity and charging figures do not prove which phone lasts longer in everyday use: that requires comparable controlled endurance testing.

Look at platform and storage needs
The India-listed X300 FE uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with LPDDR5X Ultra memory and UFS 4.1 storage; its listed configurations are 8GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB. OnePlus lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, LPDDR5X and UFS 3.1, with 8GB+128GB and 16GB+256GB configurations. The platform generations differ, but these specifications alone do not predict performance in every app or workload.

Weigh protection and software support
vivo lists IP68/IP69 protection for the X300 FE. OnePlus’s 12R specification page states: “At least three generations of android OS upgrades and four years of security updates from the launch date.” The cited vivo pages list Android 16 and OriginOS 6 but do not establish a directly comparable update-duration commitment. An IP rating is a defined protection rating, not a reason to assume a device is immune to damage in every situation.

What is the price difference in India?
A reliable current price difference cannot be calculated from the available listings. The vivo India online store showed ₹94,999 for the X300 FE 12GB+256GB and displayed an MRP of ₹119,999 when accessed in 2026. Separately, 91mobiles showed ₹34,999 for the OnePlus 12R and marked it out of stock. The configurations and listing conditions are not confirmed as a like-for-like, in-stock retail comparison, and both observations can change.
Before buying, compare the same RAM and storage configuration from sellers with confirmed stock, warranty and delivery for your location. - Pick the OnePlus 12R if a larger display and 100W charging matter most, and its available configuration and current local price suit you.
