Which phone has the better display?
The OnePlus 12 has the higher listed resolution and an LTPO panel, while both phones are listed with 120Hz refresh rates. The GT 7T has a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display, but its listed resolution is lower. realme advertises up to 6000-nit local peak brightness under 100,000 lux; that is a manufacturer lab claim tied to the stated lighting condition, not a directly comparable everyday brightness measurement. See the realme GT 7T product page.

Which has the more flexible camera hardware?
The OnePlus 12 lists three rear cameras, including a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom and a 48MP ultrawide. The GT 7T listing shows a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide, with no telephoto camera. That gives the OnePlus more listed focal-length options, especially for distant subjects. Camera resolution and lens selection alone do not establish which phone takes better photos; the available specifications do not include matched camera samples or independent comparative testing.

Performance: what the processor names do and do not tell you
The OnePlus 12 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3; the GT 7T uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 Max. These are distinct high-end mobile platforms, but no same-method independent benchmark results or real-world performance tests are established here. A processor name alone is not enough to conclude which phone is faster in everyday use, gaming, or sustained workloads.
Battery and charging trade-offs
The GT 7T has the larger stated battery capacity: realme describes its dual-cell design as 3500mAh cells equivalent to 7000mAh typical capacity, with 3425mAh cells equivalent to 6850mAh rated. The OnePlus 12 is specified at 5400mAh by OnePlus. These figures are not matched battery-runtime results, so they do not predict how long either phone lasts under the same use.
For wired charging, the listed rating is 120W for the GT 7T and 100W for the OnePlus 12 in India. The OnePlus also supports 50W wireless charging in its India launch specification. OnePlus notes that North American units support 80W wired charging instead, so its charging figures are market-specific. Wattage ratings alone do not establish charging time, which can vary with conditions.
Price difference and availability in India
The 91mobiles comparison snapshot shows ₹38,789 for the GT 7T on Amazon and ₹50,399 for the OnePlus 12, but marks the OnePlus 12 out of stock. Because these are not confirmed in-stock offers for matching configurations at the same time, they do not support a reliable current price difference. The listing was a snapshot accessed on 4 October 2026; prices and availability can change. Check the 91mobiles comparison and the retailer’s live offer before buying.
Gadgets 360 lists GT 7T configurations of 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB, but its price page says it was last updated 5 October 2026—after the comparison snapshot date above. Treat it as a later listing, not confirmation of availability or price on 4 October. Check the Gadgets 360 GT 7T price and specifications listing alongside the live seller page.
Which one should you choose?
Choose the OnePlus 12 if
- You prioritize the more flexible listed rear-camera hardware, particularly a dedicated 3× optical telephoto camera.
- You want the higher listed display resolution and LTPO panel.
- Wireless charging matters to you, and you can confirm the phone is available from a seller you trust.
Choose the realme GT 7T if
- You prioritize the larger manufacturer-stated battery capacity and higher wired charging rating.
- You prefer its listed 120Hz AMOLED display and its available memory/storage option fits your budget.
- You can verify the seller, warranty and delivered price for the exact variant before purchase.
Neither choice is established as the faster or longer-lasting phone by the specifications alone. The available evidence also does not establish a matched camera comparison, software-support periods, or current OnePlus 12 stock. Check those factors directly if they will determine your purchase.
Quick Recap
What to check before ordering
- Compare the same RAM and storage tier, not a base model against a higher-capacity variant.
- Confirm live stock, seller identity, warranty coverage and final delivered price, including any applicable charges or offers.
- Verify software-support commitments and service access for your region from the manufacturers or seller; no support-period comparison is established here.
- For water exposure, do not treat a rating as a guarantee. realme states that the GT 7T underwent IP68/IP69 testing, including a specified test of 2 metres of still clear water for 30 minutes under stated temperature conditions, and warns protection may decline with wear. Consult the manufacturer’s full conditions rather than assuming protection against every liquid or situation.
