The OnePlus 12R is the stronger pick on documented specifications if you value its adaptive LTPO display, newer chipset generation and larger stated battery. The OnePlus 11R can be the better value if you find it in a verified, same-day offer that is meaningfully cheaper for the storage you need. OnePlus’s India list prices and a historic 11R campaign price do not establish today’s price difference, so compare current offers in the same market before deciding.
OnePlus 11R vs OnePlus 12R: key specifications
This comparison focuses on India, where OnePlus publishes 12R specifications and MRP. Some 11R specifications below come from 91mobiles, while OnePlus’s opened 11R page is a Solar Red campaign page rather than a full specification sheet. Regional configurations may differ.

Which phone has the better performance?
The 12R’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is a newer chipset generation than the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 identified for the 11R Solar Red. That makes the 12R the clearer choice if you prioritize the newer platform, but chipset names alone do not establish a specific real-world speed difference.
91mobiles reports Geekbench multi-core scores of 4,311 for the 12R and 3,329 for the 11R. The available comparison extract does not provide enough testing methodology to know how broadly those figures apply; treat them as that publisher’s test results, not a guaranteed result for every device or workload.

How different are the displays?
Both phones have high-refresh AMOLED displays in the 120 Hz class. The 12R’s panel is slightly larger, at 6.78 inches versus 6.74 inches, and adds LTPO with a dynamic 1–120 Hz refresh range. That adaptive range is the more meaningful distinction: it allows the display to vary its refresh rate rather than simply being specified as 120 Hz. The resolutions are also close, so the figures do not point to a different broad display class.
Does the 12R battery last longer?
OnePlus lists the 12R at 5,500 mAh typical capacity; its dual-cell battery is rated as equivalent to 5,500 mAh at 3.91 V. The 11R is listed at 5,000 mAh by 91mobiles. These capacity ratings do not predict screen-on time by themselves: usage, settings, network conditions and testing method all affect endurance.
Both models are specified for 100W wired charging. The matching nominal rating does not prove identical charging times, and the available comparison does not establish a directly comparable charging test.
Are the cameras different?
91mobiles lists the same rear-camera megapixel combination for both: a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro camera, plus a 16 MP front camera. Those numbers describe resolution, not image processing, consistency or photo quality. The listed specifications alone cannot establish which phone takes better pictures.

OnePlus India’s 12R specifications page, accessed in 2026, lists MRP at ₹39,999 for 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, and ₹45,999 for 16 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. These are listed MRPs, not a promise of a current selling price.
OnePlus’s 11R Solar Red campaign page showed ₹37,999 including a bank discount in its 2023 campaign context. That promotional figure is not a current equivalent offer and should not be compared with the 12R MRP as though both were available on the same terms. Retail prices and stock depend on retailer and date. To find the actual gap, compare the two phones at the same retailer, in the same region and on the same day, matching storage capacity; account for bank, exchange and other discounts separately.
Storage deserves attention when comparing: the 12R is listed in India with 128 GB and 256 GB options, while the comparison table’s 11R configuration is 128 GB. The 12R India specifications page lists UFS 3.1. OnePlus’s global launch release described UFS 4.0, so for an India purchase, use the market-specific India specification rather than combining the two claims.

OnePlus says the 12R receives at least three generations of Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates from its launch date. This is a launch-relative support commitment, not a statement of the phone’s current patch level. The opened official 11R source does not establish its support duration, so the available evidence does not support a direct comparison of the two models’ total update periods.
Which one should you buy?
Choose the OnePlus 12R if
- You want the newer Snapdragon chipset generation.
- You value the slightly larger LTPO display with an adaptive 1–120 Hz range.
- You prefer the higher stated battery capacity and the documented 12R update commitment.
Choose the OnePlus 11R if
- You find a current, verified offer that makes it materially cheaper than a matched 12R configuration.
- The 11R’s available configuration meets your storage needs and its listed display, charging and camera specifications suit you.
Because live offers can change and the historic 11R campaign price is not a current comparison, make the matched, same-day price gap your deciding factor after confirming the storage tier you need.
