Choose the 12R for battery capacity and adaptive refresh rate
OnePlus lists the 12R with a 5500mAh typical capacity, compared with 5000mAh for the 11. That is a 500mAh difference in stated capacity, not a battery-life test: actual endurance depends on use and conditions. The 12R also has an adaptive 1–120Hz LTPO4.0 display, while OnePlus describes the 11 as a 120Hz 2K AMOLED panel. The stated 12R diagonal is 6.78 inches.

Both list 80W SUPERVOOC charging. The matching wattage does not establish identical charging times or real-world behavior.
Choose the 11 if its camera hardware fits your priorities
The 11 includes a dedicated 32MP 2× optical telephoto and a 48MP ultra-wide. The 12R lists an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro alongside its 50MP main camera. On the specification sheet, the 11 offers more substantial secondary-camera hardware. Megapixel counts and camera specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photographs; no independent image-quality testing is included in this comparison.
Do not treat the 12R as a chipset upgrade
Both phones name the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, so the 12R is not a move to a newer chipset generation. Storage configurations do differ: the 11 product page advertises UFS 4.0, while the US 12R specs page lists UFS 3.1. Verify the specific storage configuration and regional SKU rather than assuming every version offers the same memory or storage.
What is the OnePlus 11 vs 12R price difference?
The official US OnePlus 11 product page displays “From $699.99.” This is a displayed starting price, not a verified current transaction price. The retrieved 12R page does not provide a comparable price, so these sources do not support a current dollar difference or a firm value verdict.

OnePlus’s US 12R specifications page states: “At least three generations of android OS upgrades and four years of security updates from the launch date.” The retrieved OnePlus 11 source does not establish an equivalent commitment. That does not prove the 11 has no support; it means this comparison cannot determine which phone has more support time remaining. - Prioritize the 12R if its larger stated battery capacity and adaptive display matter more to you.
- Prioritize the 11 if you specifically want a dedicated 2× optical telephoto and higher-resolution ultra-wide on paper.
- Do not pay extra for the 12R expecting a newer chipset generation; both list Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
- Compare exact local configurations, condition, seller, warranty, and current prices before deciding.
