Calling it a cosmetic is slightly misleading. A Sprite is an equippable match item that grants a Sprite Power, not merely an appearance change. Epic Games Player Support describes Sprites as “little helpers on the battlefield” that can be found and equipped during a match to provide a special ability. The same support guidance says Sprites are not available in competitive modes, so this item is relevant to the supported public-event playlists rather than ranked or other competitive queues.
Is One Wish Willow the Obsession Sprite?
Yes. It is the Obsession Sprite associated with the Fortnitemares 2026 collaboration. The item’s Mythic rarity and v42.40 addition date distinguish it from older Sprite generations and from ordinary event loot.

Which modes and seasons matter?
Epic’s event coverage names Battle Royale, Horde Rush and Reload. Competitive modes are excluded under Epic’s Sprite support definition. Epic also says collected Sprites continue into a Sprite Garden and that a new generation is added in the next season. That makes One Wish Willow relevant beyond a single match, especially for players who treat Sprites as a collection system rather than disposable loot.
What does the One Wish Willow Sprite do?
The documented ability has two parts. Sprite Checklist reproduces Epic’s wording as: “Extract enemies’ equipped Sprites upon elimination and push nearby enemies away when damaged. You’ll be marked on the map if you remove it, so be careful!” The in-game directory wording is similar: One Wish Willow extracts other players’ equipped Sprites when you eliminate them, pushes everything away when damaged, and becomes upset when removed, marking you on the map.
Elimination extraction
The extraction effect is conditional, not passive. You must eliminate an opponent who has an equipped Sprite. When that condition is met, One Wish Willow can extract the opponent’s equipped Sprite. This gives the item an unusually direct collection role: a successful fight can expand your Sprite holdings instead of only producing ordinary loot.

The wording does not establish whether an extracted Sprite keeps its previous level, exactly how it is added to your inventory, or whether every eligible elimination produces an extraction. Treat the effect as a documented opportunity tied to eliminations, not as a guaranteed drop from every opponent.
Push effect when damaged
When One Wish Willow is damaged, it pushes nearby enemies away. The directory uses the broader phrase “push everything away,” while the ability description specifically refers to nearby enemies. In practical terms, this is a space-creation tool: it can interrupt close pressure, buy room to heal or reload, or separate an attacker from your immediate position.

The public description does not state the push distance, cooldown, damage threshold, line-of-sight rule, or whether environmental objects are affected. Do not plan a precise launch distance or timing window until the game publishes those values.
The removal penalty
Removing One Wish Willow marks you on the map. That drawback is part of the item’s documented behavior, not a cosmetic flavor line. The marker can expose your position to other players after you decide to remove the Sprite, so changing abilities carries a tactical cost.

The available description does not publish how long the mark lasts, how often opponents can see it, whether the marker updates as you move, or whether it appears immediately in every supported mode. The safe assumption is that removal is a deliberate commitment: do it only when the benefit of changing loadouts outweighs the possibility of attracting a fight.

Gold
Gold is aimed at players who can turn eliminations into repeated Sprite XP gains. Its published 3× bonus applies to Sprite XP from eliminations; it should not be read as a universal triple-XP modifier for every action.
Cheat Master
Cheat Master removes the correctness risk from Cheat Code inputs by making all inputs count as correct. It is useful when your plan depends on Cheat Codes, but the documented bonus does not promise stronger combat output.
Loot Hacker
Loot Hacker favors players who use Loot Hacks to generate items. The wording establishes a higher spawning chance, not a guaranteed item, a stated percentage increase or a specific rarity upgrade.
Bounty Hunter
Bounty Hunter aligns the form with elimination chains: eliminations can provide a chance to find Sprites, and Sprite XP is earned only from eliminations. It is therefore a poor fit for a low-conflict route that avoids fights.
Trick or Treat
The Trick or Treat bonus is not published on the reference page. Choose it for collection reasons or event flavor rather than assuming an undocumented combat, XP or loot advantage.

How do I get One Wish Willow?
Current guides report several possible routes: Pumpkin chests, rare chests, Cheat Codes, boss rewards, Bounty Hunter eliminations and player trading. These are reported acquisition paths, not a guarantee that every route is active in every playlist or remains unchanged throughout the event.
Use multiple loot routes
- Search Pumpkin chests when you encounter them during a supported Fortnitemares match.
- Open rare chests rather than relying only on ordinary containers.
- Use Cheat Codes if your loadout and match route support them.
- Check boss rewards after a successful boss encounter.
- With the Bounty Hunter form or related objectives, pursue eliminations that may produce Sprite finds.
- Consider player trading only where the current game rules support it and only if you understand what is being exchanged.
There is no confirmed spawn location
The current reference directory names no dedicated One Wish Willow spawn area. You should not rotate to a supposedly fixed landmark expecting the Mythic item to appear there.
Drop rates are not reliable
No reliable Season 4 per-Sprite drop-rate table has been published for One Wish Willow. Any directory display showing 0% values is identified as a placeholder, not proof that the item has a zero-percent chance. Exact percentage ranges reported without an official statistic should not be used to calculate your odds.
What happens if I remove One Wish Willow?
The documented consequence is a map mark. Removing the Sprite can therefore reveal your position and invite third-party pressure at the moment you are changing your build. Because the duration and visibility rules for the mark are unpublished, treat the penalty as active for the remainder of the immediate decision window rather than assuming it disappears instantly.
When removal can make sense
- You need a different ability for a final circle or a specific objective.
- You have already gained the extraction value you wanted and no longer expect to win elimination chains.
- Your team can cover the position while you handle the marked transition.
- The current push effect is less useful than a known alternative for the next engagement.
When to keep it equipped
- You are still hunting opponents who may carry Sprites.
- You are holding a doorway, revive, vault or other tight space where forced separation matters.
- You are playing a high-elimination route and have selected Gold or Bounty Hunter.
- You cannot afford to disclose your location before the next rotation.
Is One Wish Willow worth getting over other Fortnitemares Sprites?
There is no defensible universal ranking. No authoritative source in the available material publishes a complete comparison of every Fortnitemares Sprite, their drop rates and fully scaled effects. The useful comparison is role-based: identify what each Sprite does, how reliably it triggers, what it contributes to your collection and what risk it imposes.

A practical decision framework
Use this sequence before equipping One Wish Willow:
- Confirm the mode. If you are entering a competitive mode, Sprites are unavailable and the decision ends there.
- Choose your win condition. Select One Wish Willow when eliminations, Sprite collection or close-range space creation are central to your plan.
- Select the form deliberately. Gold suits elimination XP, Cheat Master suits Cheat Codes, Loot Hacker suits item generation, Bounty Hunter suits elimination-based Sprite hunting, and Trick or Treat has no published bonus to optimize around.
- Plan the removal moment. Because removal marks you, avoid changing it in an exposed position unless the replacement ability is immediately more valuable.
- Compare the alternative by trigger. An alternative with a guaranteed exploration or mobility effect may outperform One Wish Willow for a player who rarely eliminates opponents.
- Reassess after the first fight. If you have no realistic path to another elimination or your squad needs a different utility effect, the opportunity cost of keeping it may rise.
