Samsung’s Android 17-based One UI 9 stable update was reported to be reaching the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 in South Korea as of October 6, 2026. The report does not give a confirmed date for other countries. Samsung’s official rollout notice says availability can vary by country, region, language, model and software version.
Which Galaxy phones are getting One UI 9 now?
Android Authority reported on October 6, 2026, that stable One UI 9 was rolling out in South Korea to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, citing user screenshots. This is a reported market-specific rollout, not a Samsung-published international schedule. Samsung’s September 16 announcement said the update would gradually reach other Galaxy devices, but did not confirm this particular wave or dates for other markets. Android Authority’s report and Samsung’s rollout announcement describe those separate updates.

One UI 9 rollout status by device group
| Device group | Reported or official status | Market and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8 and Z Flip8 | Samsung said One UI 9 debuted on these devices. | Samsung’s September 16, 2026 announcement; rollout availability can vary. |
| Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra | Samsung named these models as the starting devices in its expanded stable rollout. | Samsung’s September 16, 2026 announcement. Its S26+ firmware notice records Android 17, with a September 30, 2026 release date. |
| Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 | Stable One UI 9 was reported to be reaching these models. | South Korea only in Android Authority’s October 6, 2026 report; international dates are not confirmed. |
| Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7 and S25 series, including S25 FE | Samsung named these devices in a beta expansion, not a stable rollout schedule. | Select markets, per Samsung’s September 1, 2026 beta notice. |
Samsung’s May 12 announcement calls One UI 9 beta “Built on the new Android 17”; its S26+ firmware entry also identifies Android 17. These establish the Android version behind One UI 9, but beta access should not be treated as evidence that a stable update is available on a particular model or in a particular country.
When will One UI 9 reach other countries?
No confirmed international date for the S24, Z Fold6 or Z Flip6 rollout is established by the available announcements. Android Authority said expansion to the US, Europe and other markets should follow, but did not report official dates. Samsung cautions that rollout availability can differ by country, region, language, model and operating-system version, so South Korean availability does not establish a date for another market or firmware variant.
