A new set of reports points to possible One UI 9.5 changes in internal Samsung software, including visual refinements and additions to several Galaxy apps. The material is leak evidence—not a Samsung announcement—and the features, release timing and supported devices remain unconfirmed.
What the One UI 9.5 leak reportedly shows
Two Android Authority reports published on August 14 and August 17, 2026 describe screenshots or video attributed to leaker Fahad Ali Javed. The later report refers to a Samsung CZH9 internal build associated with Galaxy S26 devices. These reports show what appeared in development software at the time; Samsung may change or remove features before any public release.

More depth in the interface
The August 14 report describes frosted, glass-like surfaces, shaded backdrops and subtle drop shadows around elements such as widgets, navigation controls and header buttons. These are observations of leaked screenshots, not confirmation of a finished One UI 9.5 design. Android Authority’s August 14 report also says the Phone app may gain system-level search, reportedly powered by Samsung AI. The described search could bring together contacts, recent interactions and related actions from the dialer, but its availability and exact behavior have not been confirmed.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesWireless phone-app access from a laptop
The August 17 report says screenshots suggest a feature for accessing phone apps and notifications wirelessly from a laptop. It reportedly requires Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to be enabled and both devices to use the same Samsung account. That is a claim about an internal build, not a documented capability users can rely on today. Android Authority’s August 17 report attributes the material to Javed.

Search-bar placement, camera controls and fingerprint setup
The same August 17 report describes a home-screen option to position Finder’s search bar near the favorite-app dock, where it may be easier to reach. It also reports camera-interface adjustments—rounded containers, altered spacing and controls, softer backgrounds and blur effects—and a native 24MP option in the base Galaxy S26 Camera controls in the internal build. That 24MP option should not be mistaken for a consumer feature already available.
Another reported change is a redesigned fingerprint-enrollment screen, with a more prominent fingerprint graphic, scan progress and animation. As with the other findings, the report does not establish that this design will ship.

What is confirmed—and what is not
The reports establish that screenshots and video attributed to an internal build have circulated; they do not establish a public One UI 9.5 beta or stable download. The August 14 Android Authority report says Samsung had not announced the update and cautions that development features can change. Predictions that One UI 9.5 might arrive alongside Galaxy S27 devices, or that a beta could come first, are forecasts rather than confirmed dates. SammyGuru’s status overview likewise describes the software as unreleased and distinguishes expectations from official information.
- Reported: interface polish and possible Phone search, app mirroring, Finder placement, camera changes and fingerprint-enrollment updates.
- Not established: final feature set, release date, public beta availability or an official list of eligible Galaxy devices.
- Device context: Galaxy S26-series internal-build material is the main basis for the reported findings; it does not guarantee that every S26 model will receive every feature.
Does the Galaxy S26 FE banner prove it will run One UI 9.5?
No. SamMobile reported an update-banner asset in leaked Galaxy S26 FE firmware, but explicitly cautioned that the asset does not show that the firmware itself is based on One UI 9.5. It is not proof of the S26 FE’s launch software or of update eligibility. SamMobile’s report, updated August 5, 2026, treats the banner as a separate piece of evidence from the feature screenshots.

There is no confirmed One UI 9.5 update to install or supported-device list to check against. Treat individual features and timing as provisional until Samsung publishes an announcement or makes a beta or update available through its official channels. The Galaxy S26 connection identifies the devices involved in the leak; buying a handset does not provide access to an unreleased build.
