PC Gamer writer Tyler Wilde says a story about accidentally disabling his robot’s essential systems in RADIOSOL prompted multiple colleagues to buy the game. It is a memorable first-impression anecdote—not an independently verified sales figure or a review.
What happened when Wilde switched off the robot’s systems?
In his October 1, 2026, account, Wilde says a tutorial directed him to the robot’s settings menu. There he found switches for “hearing,” “life support” and “thinking,” each with a red “KILL” control. He pressed them and, as he tells it, lost the ability to hear, see and move—and to avoid burning in the sun. With thinking switched off, the game’s text became garbled.

After dying and returning to the menu, Wilde had to recall how to load an earlier save so the text would be readable again. The episode turned an obscure settings screen into a sharply illustrated story about how vulnerable the robot is.
What does RADIOSOL play like in the opening stretch?
Wilde describes controlling a spider-like robot across deserted megastructures and desert ruins. The robot makes large jumps in what he interprets as a low-gravity environment, while exposed ground is dangerous: the player must cross between shadows to avoid direct sunlight. During the section he played, he was heading toward a pyramid and looking for a “Megapol station” in territory belonging to the “Locus Group of Companies.” He reports no combat in that portion.

That is a snapshot of Wilde’s early progress, not a full description of the game. The developers describe it as “a journey through a desolate world burned by a planetary cataclysm.” The unfamiliar names and emphasis on traversal suggest an exploratory opening, but the account does not establish how the rest of the game develops.
Did the story really lead people to buy the game?
Wilde writes that he shared the experience in PC Gamer’s work chat and that multiple colleagues bought RADIOSOL. That is his first-person report of what happened among coworkers, not an audited sales total: he gives no exact count, and it should not be read as evidence of wider sales or popularity.

Is this a review, and where is RADIOSOL available?
No. Wilde explicitly frames his piece as a first impression, saying he was not far enough into the game to know what he thought overall. Its useful evidence is limited to the opening experience he describes.

What did Wilde report about the game’s use of AI?
Wilde says he checked Steam’s generative-AI disclosure, which he reports described AI use for translations but not generated audio or art. He also reports that developer TripletConcept said on X it used AI for “some coding and utility stuff like handling Git merges.” These are statements as reported by Wilde; his article does not independently verify the developer’s workflow or the cited social post.
